Predictions?

Cypress, I'm going to vote fer the Independent ticket of two Republicans, you wanna come with me? Can you help me tie my corrective shoes first Cypress? And wipe the drool off of my chin? I'll tie your shoes when your done with mine. Let's wear high-waters and skip to the polls!

BULLSHIT. What many "people know" is exactly what you tried to pass off on this thread. That he did it once as an SNL gag.

"Many people" have not seen these pictures.

Your second paragraph might be true, but I've seen no figures saying so. I don't think you want him to win, I don't even think you think he's going to win, I think you are arguing with me for the same reason you usually do; just for the heck of arguing with me.
My "second paragraph" is based on those of the RR that have already said that they would not support him, at all.

Whatever, this is a predictions thread. I could really care less about Rudy's chances. People who think he is going to be the nominee are wasting their energy.

Whatever, I forgot what your second paragraph was. did you see Romney's figures in Iowa? What if he wins? I have always thought he's formidable. I'd rathr run against either McCain or Giliani, both of whom have serious problems. I think Romney is seriously under-estimated. And I think the Mormon thing is over-estimated. Just my opinion.

most men don't think of gags dressing at parties as homo at all!!!
Republicans are retarded and behind the curve on everything but business, the only ones likely to be gay are the bible thumpers chasing the alter boys.

Putting on a five dollar wig, and cheap lipstick at a halloween party is one thing.

Getting dressed to the nines, slapping on some Liz Claiborne makeup, and kicking up your heels in a show girl review, is entirely different.

Unless the war turns around NO Republicans will be elected president and darn few in any other federal level office.

He is far more strongly a fiscal conservative. He voted for the Balanced Budget Amendment (one of the things I find I am very strongly for), and has a much more fiscal conservative record than almost anybody in Congress currently. I also like that he has a record in Federal Government to point to.

He may well be a fiscal conservative, but he is also a social conservative. I think its kinda late to get the fundraising machine cranked up before the early primaries... and I dont know whats up with his cancer...

I do think the nomination is his if he wants it.

LOL

Have you not heard of "embarrassed Republican" sydrome?

It's an entirely new medical condition. Primarily affecting males who pretend that they didn't support the Iraq War, never voted for Bush, and are merely indpendent, non-partisan observers of the american political scene ;)

I'd hate it if he won. When 25% of the nation already stating that they would never vote for a Mormon...

He looks Presidential though, and that might get some uneducateds to vote his way regardless. If Bloomberg runs as an "I", there is no possible way for the Rs to win, period. Or Bloomberg for that matter, it would split off enough Conservative votes that neither of them would have a shot at winning.

His cancer is a non-issue. It is a form of lymphoma that is treatable with medication and doesn't shorten a lifespan.

He already has been fundraising, online only. He hasn't officially declared, but he is definitely grass-roots running.

These photos do not make Rudy a crossdresser! I am glad to see the guy has a sense of humor.

Its fun to play dress up for a joke. Now if he did this on a daily basis or something not for laughs but like to go to work, that would make him a crossdresser.

Yes I know about it and no vaccine is yet available for the condition.
some of the victims even go so far as to call themselves Libertarians

"Embarassed Republican Syndrome", and "Libertarian", are largely inter-changeable.

I used to be just like Dixie, or Topspin. I'm truly embarrased about the things I used to stand for.

Cypress, I'm not sure where you stand on "The Fairness Doctrine", but we cannot allow this piece of legislation to stifle public expression, on the left or right. We are all one people against a fascist government at this point. The republican globalists are shocked beyond all belief that the populist right has reacted this way on the immigration bill. It's bad for any american who has to work for a living, black, white, mexican, democrat, republican.

That is a good boy , do just what the NWO wants you to on the fairness doctrine...

I heard a pundit actually say something interesting this weekend. One of them mentioned that we don't know how many of that 25 percent are liberals who are not going to vote R anyway. You know, libs are not going to be enamored with Mormons when you think about it, so that's a possible angle that hasn't been considered.

I could not disagree with you more, Bloomberg is a liberal. Hagel, on the other hand would do what you claim Bloomberg would do. He has like a 100% cons voting record. He's against an unpopular war, he's no liberal or even a moderate.

He wouldn't be syphoning any Liberal votes. Except maybe in NY IF Hillary doesn't get the nod.

"Gee, I'm so surprised that you are pushing an "Independent" ticket comprised of two Republicans."

Um... Bloomberg was a lifelong Dem, he ran as a rep because he couldn't get the Dem nomination. The point was that both are moderates, regardless of whether they have a (D) or an (R) behind their names.

Also.... I was not "pushing them"... the title of the thread asked for predictions. This is my latest. Given that my earlier prediction of McCain winning against Hillary is not likely to happen... I had to jump on another bandwagon.

Now I think it will be Rudy/Romney for the Reps, Edwards/Obama for the Dems and Bloomberg/Hagel as a third party ticket. I think the majority of moderates from each party along with the bulk of independents will vote for Bloomberg/Hagel. NOTE: JUST A PREDICTION...based solely off of my OPINION. No pushing.... maybe just a lil bit of poking...:pke:

:D

"When is it that you guys think we fell off the boat?"

Somewhere in the 1960's... damn crazy liberal hippies :tongout:
