There could be numerous factors behind their higher crime rates. For starters, I imagine the extremely high rate of fatherless upbringings doesn't help matters any.

You'd have to ask THEM why they commit more crimes. I can't speak for them.
 
Blacks make up 37% of male prisoners in the U. S. Males make up 90% of the prison population.

Why are males so disproportionately incarcerated?

They commit more crimes? Sexism? They value education less?

I write from personal experience, having investigated numerous criminal defense cases for a public defender organization.
You have to understand that defense attorneys consider anything a win. Getting charges reduced or dropped is regarded as a win.

95% of convictions are the result of plea deals. If you are guilty, the public defenders know the Art of the Deal.

I doubt that you know enough about the subject to comment on the matter.

None of your comments change the point of my post proven by DOJ data--the number of convictions is about the same by private or public attorneys (whether by plea or trial). If they consider anything a win, that is equally true of private or public attorneys.
