B.1.1.7 in January was the 14th most prevalent strain with .09% of the tests. By February 27th it was the second most prevalent strain with 9.02% of tests. To claim no one has been hospitalized by any of the variants is complete nonsense. Because the US hasn't been keeping records of which strains caused hospitalizations and deaths doesn't equate to no variants have caused hospitalizations and deaths.
