Rand Paul KO’s Fauci in the first round

Why'd you use a picture from 2013?

Which strain is actually vaccine resistant?, as in proven, not suspected.

Thanks for not addressing the issue of Rand having no evidence as to which variants have caused deaths. Do you want to duck anything else?

Vaccines don't actually prevent people from contracting the virus. It helps the body fight it quicker by recognizing it and more quickly producing the proper antibodies. As to whether people are capable of contracting the virus from vaccinated people, that is not really known at this point. But perhaps you and Rand are not cognizant of how a vaccine actually works. It isn't a giant condemn that stops the virus from entering your body.

He attacked Fauci by saying he could not get the virus after being vaccinated. Surely Rand knows the masks are not to keep from getting the virus but to keep from spreading it to others. We don't know if those who have been vaccinated can still spread it to others.

What’s wrong with being led by the science instead of baseless speculation?

Why did you leave all the black folks out?

It's strange how you all give a pass to black folks behaving in similar fashion.

Think they all are trump supporters?

I don't see recklessness, irresponsibility, or stupidity as a Black vs. White issue.

There certainly is a lot of Stupidity, IRRESPONSIBLITY, and Recklessness to go around in all races!

Fauci didn't either. I have ducked nothing. Thanks for the virology 101 lesson. I addressed this earlier, you seemed to have ducked that. The fact is it is highly unlikely a vaccinated person will engage in viral shedding and studies have confirmed this with all the vaccines show a significant to near zero viral load in the vaccinated persons nose for example.

This isn't peer reviewed yet, but this is the actual data coming out:

Data analysis in a study by the Israeli Health Ministry and Pfizer Inc found the Pfizer vaccine developed with Germany’s BioNTech reduces infection, including in asymptomatic cases, by 89.4% and in syptomatic cases by 93.7%.

but you kinda do when you single out white kids and tell everyone they are a trumpaloompa for not wearing a mask. lack of mask wearing isn't just a trump supporter thing, nor is it just a white guy thing.

Again, no one has been hospitalized due to a variant.

"Multiple other studies looked at the effect of the B.1.1.7 variant on hospitalizations. In particular, Public Health Scotland used the S-gene target failure as a marker to identify variant Covid-19 cases. Researchers noted the risk of hospitalization was higher among S-gene target failure cases compared with S-gene positive cases. In addition, data from Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC) and QRESEARCH also discovered a higher risk of ICU admission for variant versus non-variant cases.

The part you "forgot" to cite:

"The researchers did not all agree that the variant predisposed to more serious disease and increase risk of death. Data from COVID-19 Clinical Information Network (CO-CIN), which found no evidence suggesting variants are linked with higher in-hospital case fatality rates. An analysis from Office for National Statistics (ONS) noted that while the hazard ratio suggested higher risk of all-cause mortality, "the number of deaths are too low for reliable inference."

Scotland, not US.

There is no science to support whether a vaccinated person can transmit to others (which Paul did not address).

The CDC site says they are learning about whether vaccinated people can spread Corona. There is science, but they have not announced the decision. To be safe, treat it as communicable.

So mask mandates shouldn’t be made on speculation.

When 525,000 have died and many others becoming seriously ill based on a virus that can be transmitted through the air, it is more than speculation. Why not wear a mask to help reduce the possible transmission of this disease. People shouldn't be such snowflakes about wearing a harmless mask.

Choosing to politicize a virus when the government and medical community are trying to save lives has been a big mistake. We wouldn't even have a vaccine if we believed those who claimed it was a hoax, under control, and soon down to zero cases.

The chances of a baby getting seriously injured who is not in a car seat are small, so it is just "speculation" that baby could be harmed. So, should we require car seats?

what does this matter?

Fauci has been wrong/goalpost shifting -when can we stop wearing a mask if we are vaccinated?
Fauci says next year????

IMO the only reason RWs are against Fauci is because he stood up to trump. Fauci was hardly even mentioned, let alone excoriated, during the AIDS epidemic, the ebola crisis, the Zika crisis or other epidemics. If Covid had happened during the Obama presidency you can bet Obama wouldn't have called it a hoax and raked Fauci over the coals for giving his professional opinion.

Fauci wasnt mentioned because we didn't have a life changing pandemic
Fauci loves putting himself out there (including magazine covers) so he deserves the attention when he's wrong

Obama screwed up:

The Obama administration's ability to stop the swine flu came down to luck, one former aide says.
