Sex offenders have kerfew

Really, can you give one example of this?

And I didn't see anyone here say they were "looking to torture them". I know I'm not. I'm not looking to torture anyone. I simply want them kept off of the streets, period.

Mark Foley? That's the example I GAVE.

SF was replying to posts that were directed at me for the simple purpose of trying to piss me off. He was trying to abuse my irrationally extended compassion for even ridiculously evil subject for his own simple comedy.

I'm not familar enough with Foley's background to say one way or the other.

:P

He actually sponsored a lot of anti-pedophile legislation in congress.

I've really always thought that that guy in the Rolling Stone article was some kind of paedophile who just used his show going after them as a kind of paedophillia through proxy.

Then again, you do have disgustingly blatant guys like NAMBLA...

I did???? Funny, I don't recall responding to anything related to you other than the fact that Damo informed you that you were not able to block him on his own website.... so perhaps you should settle down before you get your panties in a bunch.

Stuff like child molestation is one of the big reasons I am not totally aginst the death penalty.

Kill the bastigages.

My own killer no, but for a child molestor, YES!

I think you got my point. I wouldn't support the death penalty under any circumstances.

Besides, child rape is already only punishable by death or life in most states. "Jessica's law". The problem is that the crime is difficult to catch...

I think you will find that there is far more support for that then there ever will be for systematic castration.

California and Florida do it, according to Wikipedia. But the thought of castrating someone usually makes people queezy. And then, people like you rush in, state that it has no effect without backing up your claims, and then the deal is usually done.

I never stated that it "has no effect" do not misrepresent my opinion. It is effective only in a percentage of cases and therefore leaves kids open to repeated offenses which is 100% unacceptable.

Yeah, I think 98% cure rate without doing anything else is about effective. Along with 15 years in prison it castration and monitoring should reduce recividism to about nothing, like in Florida.

LOL, from your first claim of 95% effective now to 98%?

BS, Watermark. You keep confusing types of offenders, first it would be totally ineffective with those who do it for reasons other than sexual satisfaction, second it isn't as effective as you present. And saying it is okay to have 5% of them reoffend while assumed "safe" because of Depo-Provarim is simply totally unacceptable. I'd rather release drug offenders and keep child molesters out of society forever.

No matter how "little" the recidivism, any recidivism is unacceptable in this case. The victimization is so large it isn't even contained only in the one child. It is so bad that often those who do find out about it do not report it because of the damage to their own families.

No way is there ever an "acceptable recidivism" in such a crime.
