shitty pizza papa jons blames nfl for shitty sales

Established in 2002, locally owned and family operated Village Pizzeria offers an authentic slice of New York City in the heart of beautiful Coronado, California. Using only the freshest ingredients, Village Pizzeria prides itself on going to great lengths to preserve the integrity of the iconic New York pie – right down to importing authentic New York water to replicate the perfect thin crust dough.
"We don't want to sell New York style, we want to sell authentic New York pizza in Coronado,“ says Spatafore. It may seem a tad obsessive to truck in water in 1-gallon jugs all the way from New York, but the end result is worth every penny.

The stock tumbled on Wednesday after sales missed estimates

Papa John’s International Inc. founder John Schnatter is going after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, saying weak handling of the league’s national-anthem controversy has hammered sales of his pizza.

Isn't he the same dick who refused to provide health insurance to his employees because it would raise the price of his craptastic shitty pizzas by a few cents? If so --

I went to ask her and now I’m embarrassed, she said it was a joke!
I linked one of the places above. I don't get it. NYC water comes from reservoirs upstate, but the pipelines in NYC are a century old. Aside from chlorine/fluoride, who knows what the hell is in that water? I don't get it. Maybe the minerals from NY well water makes the dough a different consistency?

Italy, or the pizza?
Ha! Good question. I actually meant the pizza there. It's all the same.
As far as living in Italy, didn't care for it at all. Too chaotic, too much government bureaucracy, too crowded. Even the ski towns were boring. Come down from the mountain at 4:30 and everything is closed.
In Austria the party is just starting, no continuing.

He's the asshole who said he'd fire people because he'd be forced to provide them with insurance.

Thanks, thought so. Never tried the shitty PJ pizza after he said that. Sadly there are no PJ Pizza outlets here in the Northwoods. Well, not sad at all. We have actual hand-made delicious pizza places here. Except for that blighted Dominos.

We don't have PJ's nearby, but there is a Pizza Hut, and I'm sure Dominos. We also have at least 4 or 5 real pizzerias in every town. Not sure why anyone would opt for the former.

Oh well Papa John's, nothing lasts forever....

I've never had Papa John's pizza so I can't comment on if it's shitty or not. I prefer homemade pizza, mmmmmm, pesto, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, cheese blend, mmmmm ;)

They had one here in my area=failed, it's now a Afghani Gyro & kabob place.........

Universal disdain for the place here.....

Why the fuck would anyone buy 'chain' pizza? There aren't any Italians in Alaska?

I am told that there are pizza shops out west that ship truckloads of NY water out there, because it makes a big difference in the crust.

Must be from me pissing in the reservoirs that feed NYC

Maybe NY could lease some to that "real" pizza starved state??

Sounds like a selling point to me.... Kinda like the pink Himalayan salt that is actually from a hill in Wakistan, over 100 miles from the Himalayans..

Water in Nevada is horrid & taste like it has been ran through a paper towel-that may be a reason, + all the chlorine may inhibit the yeast??

In SF they have world famous sour dough & you can only get it there...

I know some ppl that paid a real "premium" to obtain some starter & it lasted only a couple weeks outside the bay area... The bacteria in the air in SF has something to do w/ that yeast being able to survive...:dunno:

I will never eat @ or order a dominos again. Eventhough they have claimed to be doing it better-to many other places..

If I may ask, where up there is the northwoods??

Funny....just today I almost bought some of that salt....opting for something else. It seems that J&J doesn't make their foot soap anymore, everything else is just epsom salt. I almost fell for the pink stuff....but not quite.

Hmmmm....Nevada is a desert. I guess water is a 'thing'.

Oh yeah, Pizza Slut, forgot about that one. We do have that curse upon the Foodscape too. I love this town. We do have a few of the big box stores and chain restaurants, but mostly it's local shops and local foodie places, micro-breweries, and so on. College town, yeah!

lol, it isn't even very salty... One of my daughters bought some lamps made from it, suppose to give off positive ions.:rofl2: Me nor her older sister didn't have the heart to tell her it's not true....

Supposedly it does have some minerals but so does that Upstate water.....lol

Yes, the water in Nev is very poor & you can smell the chlorine when you turn on the tap...

I lived in a tiny college town when I lived in Vt. in the late 70's. Back then, they rolled the streets up at 6 p.m., and there was nothing going on but the traffic from the small campus.

Vt. sure has changed since I left.
