shitty pizza papa jons blames nfl for shitty sales

lol, it isn't even very salty... One of my daughters bought some lamps made from it, suppose to give off positive ions.:rofl2: Me nor her older sister didn't have the heart to tell her it's not true....

Supposedly it does have some minerals but so does that Upstate water.....lol

Yes, the water in Nev is very poor & you can smell the chlorine when you turn on the tap...
Been to Vegas twice, but I never drank any water that wasn't bottled. Lake Mead....they have a sewage treatment plant at one end, and they drink the water at the other.

Yea..they listed a bunch of minerals on the bag. I'm sure my well water has the same minerals. I just want to soak my freekin feet once in a while.

Prob wouldn't hurt to use it, although prob cost a lot more than good O reliable Epsom salt

I lived in a tiny college town when I lived in Vt. in the late 70's. Back then, they rolled the streets up at 6 p.m., and there was nothing going on but the traffic from the small campus.
Vt. sure has changed since I left.

Oh do tell! I have two daughters who live now in VT as of 2014 and 2017. Saint Albans, but work in Burlington. Son-in-law is taking math courses at the Univ., will get his BS next month and his MS in a year or so.

Great picts.:D I see you are doing cross country...... Not tried it yet but this month I hope to try snow shoeing.... I just started hiking again in June & have been on some pretty nice hikes here in Northern Calif but you live in a very beautiful area, you just need to walk or look outside.....

You-per! We are Yoopers. Not so cold yet.... 30s and 40s for highs. We've had some snow but it hasn't lasted long. By Turkey Day though we will probably have permanent snow that stays till spring. We have a nice view of Kichi-gami (Superior) from the house but we live up on a ridge so aren't subjected to the waves and noise that shore folk have. Big, bad, and early storm last week. Much shore destruction, and two people lost who were swept out into the Lake by the waves. We were down there taking some photos when it happened. Sad when we don't understand the power of this place.

Thanks! I do snowshoeing -- not Nordic skiing! My husband has good balance and athletic skills for x-country; me not so much although there's still hope. Your area is beautiful too -- get out there and do it. </Nike>

Is destruction of the shore unusual? A couple years ago I saw some guys surfing in Wisconsin @ 20 degrees.........lol Nice waves but chunks of ice..

Did the bear drink the sugar water in the hummingbird feeder??

Yeah, unusual for this time of year so far. Yeah, that bear took it all! lol

Got some vid of a guy surfing last week. Air temp: 40F. Wave height: 20+. Winds: 40+ knots. Insanity level: 10. lol

Wow, awesome, I would like to see it if you have it on your img account...

You hike as well?? Kayaking/canoe?

Papa John's is bottom of the list, with Cici's.

I don't think there are any very good chains - luckily I can get a lot of good independent pizzas. 'Pizza guys' is good. Pizza Hut and Domino's not that good, but better than the worst. Round Table a little better but not very good.

I want to like Papa Murphy's - fresh made quality ingredients - but the taste is just not good (but they have the best cookie dough).

Supermarket Pizza is better than most chains. Costco is 'ok'. So - go independent.
agreed. Most pizza chains suck. Some start out good but end up playing the corporate game of a fanatic devotion to increasing sales and margin at the cost of quality.

Also if you get an oven stone you can make a pizza at home that’s better than any chain pizza. They’re not exactly hard to make.

What's your favorite Pizza in Columbus? There are actually some really, really good ones;)

They're a bit north of where I was. I was southeastern Vt, and at one point, lived about 100' from the NY border. But moving from a suburb of NYC, it was quite a culture shock living in this tiny town.

No news from anything below Albany. Back then, they hadn't arrested Son of Sam. NOBODY knew anything about it up there.

No t.v reception, shitty radio. It was rough in the early days.

Now they're a tourist attraction, with all the amenities.

It's all about the crust. In many grocery stores, you can buy refrigerated pizza dough.

Around here, many of the mom/pop stores will sell you dough if you want to make your own pizza at home.

Yeah, we also hike and kayak. No canoe though. If you got the right winter gear, you can play outside here just about 365 days/year.

Just added the surfing dude.

Talk about culture shock! It's a beautiful state though. We briefly toyed with the idea of moving there when my husband retired, but decided on the UP instead. Alaska was also under consideration. We gave that up for cost and practicality reasons. What town did you live in?
