After watching my friends take in their kid due to infection to get this done when he was 7 and following it his pain and recollection of the surgery...
Yeah, as a parent I'd definitely get this done. If I lived in San Francisco I'd move their totalitarian BS on what you eat to making medical decisions for my family would be too fricking much. It is none of their business why I might make that decision. I can't imagine why anybody would want to live where others are making the simplest decisions that effect how you go about your life on such a daily basis. It gives me the heebies, I find it repugnant.

Mostly because it takes nothing away from the enjoyment of sex for the male while offering different positives. There is pretty much zero positives that go with female "circumcision"...
Female circumcision takes away the ability to enjoy sex for the woman. It is mutilation.

Before the second world war, circumcision was widely practised in Britain. When the NHS was established in 1948, it was not allowed as it was deemed an unnecessary procedure and if you wanted it done you had to go private.

Right. It is up to you to decide if it is necessary or not. IMO, it is. The negatives of a later circumcision and the positives that come with male circumcision would make it so I would choose to go in that direction.
I believe that an ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure. In this one case Britain goes against that maxim to say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...
It's a deeply personal decision but the benefits IMO far outweigh the negatives. My kid, had they been male, would have been circumcised.

If you brushed and flossed and got your teeth cleaned every 6 months you wouldn't have to worry about getting under the gum line.Because brushing and flossing doesn't get under the gumline, surely that's not so hard to understand even for you

I have only ever known one person who had to have a circumcision as an adult. I can't help thinking that the US medical establishment must love it though. Yet another thing to make money from the suckers. My point of view is supported practically all over the world, it's the US that's in the minority. along with Muslims and Jews.
Leave it to Tom to turn it into a pissing match, of which he INSISTS on being the authority. I often times think of him as a dickhead, but after this morning I think I will just call him Dumbo.
