I've certainly heard there have been some, but the bottom line is that Ukraine couldn't have lasted as long as it has against Russia without the massive amount of help from NATO.

There have been no troops. Maybe a few military observer, but no troops. NATO has not lost a million troops. NATO is a bunch of western democracies, with western democracy troops, who have western democracy families... That last part is key.

If a million western troops have been killed, several million western family members would be complaining in our free press. That is how I know that Hawk is lying about NATO troops being killed en mass in Ukraine... Israel.... Or any of the other places he claims they have.

If the Ukrainians had wanted to be conquered by the Russians, all the weapons in the world would not have been able to have prevented it. If the Ukrainians wanted to be conquered, the Ukrainians would just use the weapons to help the Russians conquer them.

I do believe I recall Hawkeye saying something to that effect. Hawkeye is sometimes a bit loose with language. Clearly, Ukrainian troops aren't -actually- NATO troops. Financed, aided in the field, guided and sometimes trained by NATO countries, yes, but not officially NATO troops, no. The ironic thing is that without the Ukrainian army acting as a de facto NATO army to "weaken" Russia, NATO's available troops are rather limited.

Ukraine is in theory a sovereign country, although without western support, I think we can agree the war in Ukraine would come to an end rather quickly. I think you know that Ukraine isn't part of NATO and thus Ukraine's army can't be a part of NATO's army. I think it'd be more accurate to say that Ukraine is a wannabe NATO country and western powers have certainly led it down the primrose path of believing that one day, it would join NATO's ranks, when the truth is, it's not going to happen, and its flirtation with NATO and its war with the Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine have only led to disaster.
