This analysis is a fallacy because it presumes that the reason for a lower gun death rate is that criminals abide by our laws. Or that criminals cannot get the guns due to the laws. That is a lie.
Secondly, you are looking at RATES which is dishonest statistic to use and is typical with leftist sites trying to justify the idiotic claim that laws prevent criminal activity. The correct analysis is NUMBER of homicides, not including suicides by State.
For instance, there were 1,368 California homicides last year. In Alaska, one of the "high rate" states, there were 180. Yet you claim Alaska is worse by looking at the "rate". It is an attempt to lie and be dishonest.
Gun deaths are up by 18% in California despite stricter gun laws. Those are the FACTS. Using rates is dishonest.
