I wish that I could read a single post on this thread, because I'm curious who Stewart is--Jon, perhaps?--

and because even though I have no real interest in my firearms collection anymore--
just minor assets for the kids' inheritance--I happen to be a hard left social democrat who is NOT anti-gun, just anti para-military weapon like the AR-15.

But I can't. I have almost the entirety of JPP on ignore,
making it largely a monologue platform for my self. That's pretty good, too.

I find it actually amusing that our brain-dead founders created the world's biggest shooting gallery between our two great oceans.
It's a much less embarrassing unique trait than our other one--not having universal healthcare

Guns didn't tame the OLD WEST. It was brave LAWMEN like Wyatt Earp that made guns illegal on the street, that tamed the OLD WEST!

I can always cancel my debit card and credit cards! My bank would cover the loss!

unlike those of you who walk around blissfully ignorant, I maintain an acute sense of my surroundings and am watchful of everything because i've been caught unawares once. I won't let it happen again.

I've been robbed twice by someone holding a gun on me, Once when I was a teenager working as a cashier at a Grocery Store, and once as an adult when my 57 Ford Ranchero, that I restored, somehow got a red ant stuck in one of my carburator jets, flooded and died at an intersection, in a very bad part of town that I worked in.

I got off at midnight, and I was headed home, was on a residential street in a bad neighborhood after driving a couple of blocks, the car died, and when I got out to raise the hood, to investigate the problem, someone creeped up behind me, put a gun to the back of my head, and asked for my wallet.

I just said, take it- It's all yours. And he disappeared into the night! And I lived on to tell about it.

Sir! Robbers are not stupid, as they normally use the element of what I refer to as 'THE SURPRISE"!

When you are surprised, your gun in your pants won't save you- more than likely get you killed if you even try to use it.

2. in the face of one who doesn't care about surprise, only to take what you have, a gun will stop them......be prepared to pull it and use it. train with it. learn what you're doing with it, just like a cop, or better.

I lost a young friend I worked with back about 20 years ago now, that tried to help out when he saw a couple of guys holding guns on a couple down in Deep Ellum on a dark street one summer night.

He walked up on the scene behind the robbers, so he pulled out his 9 mil and told the robbers to drop their weapons, and one turned around and shot him though the heart, and his friend in the chest. The other gunman panicked and shot both the couple they were robbing, killing her and severely wounded her boyfriend in the stomach!

All he did by trying to help, was get himself killed and his friend and that couple shot!

Good kid, but he wasn't James Bond!
