Teach Racial History In Schools?

hahahahahaha ... THAT'S THE CORE GRIEVANCE!

My History teacher (who was the only Black teacher I ever had) told the Story of Thomas Jefferson having children with his Slave woman. And one of his sons looking so much like him, that he sold him to another Plantation. The Teacher asking "How could a Father sell his Son?"

According to Poli, this should be taught to 'children', you know 'the real History'.

I agree; it should be taught in high school. Obviously that's where YOU heard about it. You don't have history class in grade school.

How did that make you feel, when your teacher asked "How could a father sell his son"? Is that behind your anger now, that someone "made" you feel sorrow and/or anger about that?

Kids learn hatred at home. School is where (sometimes, with any luck) it is unlearned. Little kids don't think anything about race other than noticing that someone has different hair or skin than their family does. I always thought it was fascinating how every one of my kids was drawn to children who were "unusual" because they were Asian, Hispanic, black, etc., and then befriended them. In a hater household they would have been told not to play with that kid.

You're exaggerating, of course, about what "Poli and his Wokesters" want to teach and when.

:) 'Real History' is brutal.
I read a Story about a Haitian Slave who ran away. When the Slave was caught and brought back, the Master restrained the Slave and had another Slave shit in his mouth and taped his mouth closed for a day.
A Lesson for others about 'running away'.

I could tell you a Story about 6,000 Slaves being Crucified along the Appian Way ... but it lacks the Racial Hatred aspect that is in vogue now.

It made the Class think about 'How could a Father sell his Son'. It left out the Master/Slave relationship and focused on the human bonding with their children.

Hello Jack,

The reason for the 'Hatred' is because of past injustices. The usual 'one group oppressing another group'. If your ancestors were slaves, and your women were fucked by their owners, you'd probably be angry too.

Hatred is a natural, yet immature, reaction. It doesn't have to be that way. Education is the answer.

Most black people would rather not have race as an issue. Black people would rather just be able to live as equals with equal opportunity.

Hello Jack,

:) hahahaha ... We (Europeans) came to the New*World and Colonized it, displacing the Native Population. The usual and typical 'tribal warfare' that has been going on from the Beginning of Time.

Here's a question for you Poli, tell me the solution:

I'm from SoCal, arrive in New Orleans, and I'm at a Bus Stop. A Black guy walks up, I stick out my hand and say "Hey, my Brother". He says "Yeah, we'll be Brothers when I can fuck your wife, sister, mother, and daughter for the next 400 years" Hmmmm ... that caught me a little off guard. See, Blacks have a reason for their Hatred, Whites ... not so much.

So Poli, how is that 'solved'? The Legacy of 400 years of using one group's women as 'Sex Slaves' for another group. Should the 'teaching' begin in kindergarten?

The problem there is judging an entire race by the actions of one individual. Stereotyping is not going to solve anything.

Since you are unable to answer a simple question (like solving the '400 years of being used as 'Sex Toys' issue), I will put you down as 'an empty vessel', solely interested in joining the 'Wokester Team' of Political Correctness and Meme Jargon.

Speaking of the devil, a slaves room was recently found at Pompeii.

Grade school should be limited to teaching math, grammar, and civilized, more formal manners. We're lacking in all of them.
Maybe introduction to alternate languages would also be OK.

In high school, you could start throwing in introductory science.

Teaching sociology before college level is a total waste of time.
College level is where nosy parents don't get an opinion.
Just pay your kid's tuition and shut the fuck up is the correct process in college
because the published, PhD teachers know a fuck lot more than you do.

Goodbye Jack,

Children in their 'natural state' of Brotherhood. Before Poli can get his hands on them.

It has been interesting, Jack, but now it is done. You just crossed the line. You had to make it personal.

Now that you have demonstrated you will try to go there with me you have poisoned the well. I can't continue talking to you.

If I don't cut you off right here and now, then a precedent is set that I will let personal jabs go. Then things escalate. That's not going to happen with us.

I know how to prevent it. Simply identify the precise moment when it goes personal and add the offender to the Ignore List.

I'm sorry, Jack. I'm sorry you went there, but I have no control over what you do. I can only control what I do.

What you did was a violation of basic decency. We were having a great discussion in my view. A great discussion about an important topic.

But you were not able to continue the discussion in an academic sense, so you had to use the nuclear option.

And that destroyed everything.

Thanks a lot, Jack.

Oh well. I shall not be bothered by that.

I have very simple rules for preventing online abuse: Identify just where it begins. Place the offender on Permanent Ignore. Let everyone know that is how I roll so it serves as an example to the rest. Let everyone know that I will place anyone on Ignore who tries to go personal with me, and it doesn't matter how long we have been talking.

I am sorry you have become the latest example that I mean every word of my Signature Personal Ignore Policy, I stand behind it, and I enforce it.

It's not always fun but it produces the serene type of experience I enjoy here. Because I come here to talk about Just Plain Politics.

Have a good life. It's been interesting knowing you.

So long!

Did it ever occur to you that that's because we don't have the descendants of captured Goths, Huns, Nubians, Egyptians, and others living among us to keep it a reminder of the (very recent in terms of history) American past?

You're always crying about Christians. Have you ever noticed how to some of them, the Roman persecutions were almost yesterday, and are being echoed in modern America because we don't let them teach their religious stuff in public schools and other public venues?

CRT is not about slavery; you are trying to distract from the real topic: Racism is still alive in America. You cannot fight a disease if you pretend you can't see its effects.

In my opinion, most people (European) in America view themselves as 'descendants of slaves*and serfs' that escaped from Europe to America for a Better Life.

That's good. Don't you agree?

Yes. It made you try and travel back in time to that period and understand 'What would make a Father sell his Son'. What was the prevailing attitude that would make a Father sell a Son. We can all identify with bonding with our parents. How did the Son feel about being sold by his Father?

You know, it's like those people who abandoned Afghanistan and could care less about children being sold as 'Sex Toys'. How cold, how cruel, how black their hearts must be.

"She was sold to a stranger so her family could eat as Afghanistan crumbles"

"Parwana is one of many young Afghan girls sold into marriage as the country's humanitarian crisis deepens. Hunger has pushed some families to make heartbreaking decisions, especially as the brutal winter approaches."

If you're not a racist then you think races are equal and you should welcome a mixing of the races and you should welcome our schools teaching about mixing races.

You should welcome teaching about the problems that racism and hatred are causing in our society.

You should acknowledge that racism is a problem and education is the key to solving it.

Unless you have a better idea to reduce racism in America..................................................

Like these people aren't racist right?

What do you propose they do about it?
