His feeling that his life was threatened is NOT a subjective one. It is not that HE felt it was reasonable to kill him, but would the ordinary person in the same circumstances find it reasonable to use deadly force. If that was not the standard than anybody to kill a person and say they felt threatened by him no matter how far away or even if armed.

This is true. That's why when you defend yourself against an attacker, kill him. Because after all, they always claim to be perfect angels.

Lots of people unsuccessfully claim self defense every year in the US. They do so to try to get out of having murdered someone.

I care because this is yet another example, shown by a large segment of the white population and the American criminal justice system that black life is not valued, while white life and apparently those who can pass for white, is. And who says that the only riot is manifested "physically"...I could have a riot in my mind. Zoom...over your head.
Again, I am not, nor have ever been a racist, as my myriad white friends would attest.

You're a racist because to you, color matters. If these were two white dudes you wouldn't be commenting on this at all.

Well, how else could you prove that you're not a racist to racists? Color matters, because you make it matter. I was never into color, obviously. And if there were two "white dudes" involved...I may have commented. I talk about stupid white people all the time.

Zimmie gets convicted... Goes to the joint... He'll have his front teeth knocked out and be some brother's prison trophy wife within the first two months. It's in THERE where the real justice will be served.

Wow....that's a little harsh...While I think he's guilty, I don't think he's evil and deserves all that.

harsh? It is reality, and maybe he ought to have contemplated it a bit before he went and acted out his tough cop fantasy. Now, he'll get a chance to prove just how tough he is... Every single day of his life... Or just resign himself to the fact that he really ISN'T all that tough and learn to tolerate the taste of semen. Life is a bitch, sometimes, but he'll still be on the right side of the sod... A luxury Trayvon does not get to enjoy.

I kind of view it in the same vein as the kid who threw the punch at the soccer ref....he's guilty....but not evil....to say he deserves 25 years of sexual abuse by hardened criminals certainly doesn't fit the crime. JMO

why not? He murdered a teenager who was minding his own biz, to fulfill his fantasy of being a tough guy. I say 25 yrs. Is not enough
