Tell me about yourself?

Funny. But seriously, I have no bums bumming cigs anywhere in the resort village here. The only "beggar" I've run into is the mentally retarded guy who lives with his mother, who I occasionally run into at the recycling center and asks me for money so he can "buy a pizza". Yet you go to any beach where the public is allowed and losers are all over the place.

Congratulations on your successful life.

Anyhow, welcome aboard Kaya. I'm sorry to hear that you were born in Bakersfield. I have a similar tragic past. I was born n the San Fernando valley.

Since I am new here, and want to know my fellow posters a bit better, I thought I would ask you to tell me about yourself? Not political leanings..I don't much care about that. Tell me about YOU. What you like, what you do not like, your hobbies, your favorite music you enjoy listening to, if you prefer the ocean or mountains, do you have pets, etc etc etc.

I am married, have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I like the music of nature but instrumental wise, I like easy listening, smooth jazz, new age. Anything mellow and soothing.

I enjoy being outside when I can, am a cancer survivor (so far, knock on wood), suffer arthritis and have a hard time walking now but I am blessed that my joints are not deformed. Just sore as heck.

What I don't like is liars, manipulators, thieves, cliques, bullies, pileons. In my real life while not on the net, I dislike crowds, shopping, going to the market. I am a recluse and a hermit and love it. It's much more peaceful in my own little sanctuary I call home.

I live near the ocean and enjoy listening to the surf. I also love listening to rain. If I could not have the ocean near me, then I would want mountains and streams. I enjoy solitude.

Now...please tell me a bit about yourself?
I'm a Cymro - what the English call 'Welsh' - and look to see the breakup of the UK before I sling my hook. My family live in the States (somewhere), Chubut, Argentina and Seskatchewan, Canada, as well as here in Cymru. I learned Chinese in the RAF then went to Cambridge, which was full of upper-class English public-school pillocks. I have four daughters, and my wife is probably a bit brighter than me, but with a different kind of mind. I love our language, Cymraeg, writing poetry, painting, gardening and walking. I've done various jobs and am a very keen socialist. I am unbelievably healthy, touch wood, but wonder when the days I used to smoke fifty a day will catch up with me. I still love beer, and am an active member of the Campaign for Real Ale. Well, you did ask!

I am watermark, King of America, Commander in Chief of the People's Self Defense Army, General Secretary of the Politburo standing committee of the Workers Party of America, and your lawful sovereign. All I ask of you is your undying, unquestioning loyalty in all matters, your eternal soul, and perhaps a vial of blood here and there.

Suspend the constitution!
Declare martial law!
Rule by decree!

In broad, critical agreement, dubiously! :)

Okay, I am married, have two dogs, two cats, three children (8) (6) (3). I like a huge variety of music it all just depends on my mood but there is a time for almost any type. I generally sleep outside in the winter and inside in the summer. Im in good health.

I work very hard on not accepting things simply its because its the way things have been done in the past, or because most people do it that way. I try to not live my life trying to fill a roll that was predetermined. I thing way too many people act a certain way, because they thing that is what is they way it is.

I love the ocean and can smell it from my house (the Atlantic is one mile from my house)

What else do you want to know?

Oh, so you can set your prejudices... I am 42, W, M, liberal, married to a woman, lawyer, upper middle class born, and currently a little more prosperous than the family I came from.

Oh, and I garden, paint landscapes and love college football in addition to discussing politics.

I had a dog. She was fat, and mean, and the most beautiful girl in the world. She died Wednesday. She grew weaker over the past few months, though the vets couldn't tell what it was. She didn't eat for the past few days, not even when I tried to feed each kibble to her individually. The afternoon before she died, she was drinking water again, which made me ecstatic, I thought she was recovering finally. I took a nap, and when I woke up, she was dead.

Now she dwells in Valhalla, with the other warriors. Come Ragnarok, she will rise again as a vicious hellhound, and shall slay all who do not grant her pets.
