I'd like to add some evidence. God promised to never flood the earth again, and he gave us rainbows as an ongoing sign of His promise, and look, there are obviously still rainbows, and that's how I know that "sea level rise" is totally bunk and will never be flooding anything.

You missed one, Sybil. It could also mean that Jesus did die on the cross, and was resurrected, and is still living today, and will go on living forever.
