The Gun debate renewed

Red flag laws. Ban semi automatic weapons. Universal background checks. Ban bump stocks. Ban high capacity clips. No permitless carry. Mandatory insurance. Restrictions on DUI conviction.

Start there.

If YOU idiots say you won’t act then we will elect people that will. We are FUCKING sick of your bullshit excuses.

Have you considered the resistance you'll encounter?

ROTFLMFAO!!

Didn’t you just dress someone down for not sticking to the topic? How much are you terrified by LGBTQ peop…...HOLY CRAP RB ONE IS SNEAKING UP BEHIND YOU RIGHT NOW!!! RUN FORREST RUN!!!!

Education worked for my generation. We respect what a firearm can do. Why can't yours?

Not allowing some people to have guns at all. Then requiring licensing and training like a driver's license. Of course, gun owners carrying insurance is logical too.

Some people? Who? We were"trained" in school not to shoot people (and at home). Why can't you train your generation and their kids too? Insurance? For what? Our guns aren't shooting people.

who makes that determination and what qualifications are used? treating gun licenses like drivers licenses would also entail every state having to accept any other states gun license. As soon as you make every single government law enforcement agent carry their own for the mistakes of their bad apples.

Firearm safety isn't part of any public school curriculum I'm aware of. You should have considered learning how to read and write instead.

It most certainly does not force one state to accept another states firearms license. If it's done at the Federal level, then there would be no state license. If it was done by a state, that state would not be bound in any way shape or form to accept another states license. LOL at you. How fucking dumb can you be? I'm waiting to see if you can get any dumber. There can't be much room left.

you have no idea what you're talking about. except for freedom based on reason. reason is what the founders used to craft their idea of freedom. In doing so, they crafted a limited government and the idea that a majority can not deny a minority their rights.

what's 'abstract' about freedom to you?

The concept of freedom didn’t start with the Founders, in fact, they leaned heavily on Locke and the Enlightenment thinkers, they all often quoted them frequently in their writings. The entire concept of the “Social Contract” is based upon reason

And if you think freedom is so limitless, why do you stop at Stop signs? Aren’t you losing your freedom having to do so? Why can’t you say anything or do anything you want anything you desire?

It is abstract because it has an intellectual foundation, how to function in a society, and is not just the individual being able to do as desire anytime they want

And limited government (Montesquieu) and minority rights (Voltaire) were included in the Framers work, however, neither is based upon absolute freedom, in fact, the exact opposite

That's because you anti-gun PETA fucks pushed it out. We learned both. Why can't you and your generation learn two things at once? We did, and we learned the 2nd. Amendment (among others) in the constitution too. Try it sometime (if learning doesn't give you a mental breakdown).

No, I won't. You won't do a goddamn thing. None of you will. You are all hat no cattle, son. A feckless loser.

That's because you're too cowardly to lead the way. There's a lot like you, the cowards will hide.

Come and try to take what's mine and find out. You'll care. You'll definitely care...

Lead the way to what? Are you in the habit of playing Sheriff and enforcing laws, or do you let LAW ENFORCEMENT do that? You just keep getting dumber and dumber. You don't scare me in the least. None of you keyboard warriors do. You are all cowards.

But thanks for the laugh, hot rod.

Your rights are not unlimited. Read Heller. And weep.

Your guns ARE shooting people. That is what they are designed to do.
Some people are those with anger and psychological issues, which this board has a lot of. The anger, insults, and vitriol tell us who should not be allowed guns.
Nobody was trained. Saying" Don't shoot people" is not training.
There should be a national licensing program. You cannot have reasonable and intelligent gun laws and let people from Florida and Texas carry them to other states.
We actually should allow far fewer guns in America. They are lost, stolen, and sold to questionable people regularly.

Here's your problem with you believing that you're smart, when you're not. WHY does every state accept the drivers licenses of every other state?

Look at the number of deaths and mass shootings. The answer is NO. Reality intrudes into your fond memories. We are turning the country into an AR video game with real deaths. Back in your days, we did not have children going through active shooter drills. We do now. School shooters were not a common event. Thy are now.

talking about a social contract is meaningless, because it doesn't exist and NOBODY has ever signed one.

now, your hyperbolic bullshit aside, the REASON we stop at stop signs and obey speed limits is because of state constitutions. you've probably never read yours, but i'm reasonably sure that every single one of them gives over some power to the states to regulate the roadways. things like how many lanes, stop signs, speed limits, etc. THAT is why we do those things and it's not considered losing freedom because the regulations are provided with constitutional authority.

guess what else was included in the framers work? 'shall make no law', 'shall not be infringed', among other things.
