The Democrat obsession with banning guns is proof they don't give a shit about the real problem: a lack of mental healthcare in America.

Here's the main problem with your proposal; Democrats will try it and end up wasting everyone's time. Meanwhile, the suicide and suicide-by-cop rates will remain unchanged because no one in Washington gives a fuck in fixing anything.

Your post is not factual Democrats have been pushing for mental health both on the federal and state level.

Not allowing some people to have guns at all. Then requiring licensing and training like a driver's license. Of course, gun owners carrying insurance is logical too.

You'd be setting a precedent for penalizing millions of innocent Americans. What's next? Banning computers and cars? Why not? Once you hand government the power to strip innocent Americans of their rights, then the nation will go down the same dark path as every other dictatorship in history.

If I could, I would. Start with the long rifles and I'll go from there. Sorry, not falling into your macho bullshit trap. It is not healthy to have six year olds doing active shooter drills. Period. Full stop. And NO ONE needs a semiautomatic rifle for any reason other than to kill someone. What's your objection to insurance? I can't wait.

In many ways this is like the illegal immigrant debate; mostly a bunch of people screaming bullshit without doing what really needs to be done - Immigration Reform. Fine. Your choice.

Dude, it wasn't healthy for Duck'n'Cover Drills, but most people lived through it. The fact you don't accept that better mental healthcare is the key solution to stopping problems before they become problems is typical of American politics today.
