The Ukraine ‘peace deal’ is proving to be a scam

If there were justice in the West America would be in the Hague on trial for what is nearing if not already over 1.4 million Ukrainian deaths, and the destruction of Ukraine, the latest in a very long list of countries America has destroyed.

I agree with part of what you say, but disagree with another part. For starters, I don't think of myself as part of the "We" that got us into this Ukrainian mess. I think that lies squarely on the shoulders of the political warhawks in the U.S. and Europe. I can certainly agree that they have lost in their attempts to "weaken" Russia- instead, it is western elites who have been weakened and shown for the hypocrites that they are, vis a vis other conflicts, such as the ones going on in the middle east. As for it being way too late for diplomacy, I disagree. It's just that a very specific type of diplomacy has to happen at this point, one where agreeing to Russia's demands is seen as the right thing to do.

As to the war being lost, again, for the warhawk elites who got us into this mess, sure. But I'd argue that for everyone else, ending this conflict would be a win.

For the warhawk elites, sure. But yeah, I doubt that'll be happening any time soon, if ever.
 
Zelensky doesn't want to stop the fighting. The EU wants to support him. Eh.
It's oogly. I say let Russia and Ukraine pound on each other some more, I guess.
Like making 2 brothers fight until they get it all out.

The sad thing is that up until the United States' blatant interference in Ukrainian politics during Ukraine's Euromaidan coup back in 2014, Viktor Yanukovych, the elected Ukrainian President at the time, had been working hard to strike a balance between western and Russian interests:
