The Who

Here are the Who when they were at their peak with Keith Moon and John Entwistle.

Great Vid Tom! I particularly like the shots of Keith Moon in his prime. Arguably the greatest rock drumer ever.

Though some would give a good argument that that honor belongs to Carl Palmer or Neil Peart.

Buddy Rich didn't exactly suck either.

This would be such a better show.

I like this Vid of Keith Moon. It not only shows his brilliance but his unorthodox style, particularly when you compare him to the more orthodox Palmer, Peart and Rich.

I was disappointed. Can't the NFL get relevant, non-fossil bands to play at the Super Bowl half-time? Must they always be walking advertisements for the AARP, Cialis, mortuaries, and REALLY OLD PEOPLE???

Your generation is not cool, Who!!!

I concur. Sh*t man, at least get Green Day a gig at the super bowl. What’s the deal elevating these has-been fossil bands to a state of faux relevance on national TV? Maybe the average NFL-demographic is a 55 year old, beer-gutted white dude, who knows?

I’ll totally give the Who massive props for some bitchin’ efforts 40 years ago. That “Who’s Next” album is like undeniably in the top 5 albums ever made, there ain’t a bad tune on it. I’m still cranking that album on a routine basis nearly half a decade later. I doubt classic rock stations would even exist without killer tunes from that album like “Bargain”, Behind Blue Eyes, “Baba O’reilly”. and “Won’t get Fooled Again”.

But I hardly think we need to see some geriatric old geezers attempting to rock out. Good christ, I think I saw Townsend hooked up to an oxygen tank after that pathetic performance!

Yea...Grace Slick does have a point about old Rockers being pathetic.

But who do you think would be appropriate half time entertainment at the Super Bowl for gerbers like 3D and Waterhead? Brandy? Jessica Simposn? Up With People II? Mr. Roberts?
