For Putin, the Cold War never ended. He blames the US for the collapse of the Soviet Union, and wants revenge. Putin has been actively trying to destroy America for years.

Russia, with a population of 140 million or so, has a real economy smaller than that of Texas, with some 30 million, and is being invaded by Ukraine, with it's population of around 38 million and no real industrial base or raw materials, over two years after its failed invasion. 'War' with Russia would be very very short, so no need to fear it. Putin's nuclear threat is easily neutralized with resorting to nukes ourselves.
All we need ask is why so many of Russia's former colonies are rushing to join NATO and nobody is rushing to join Russia? lol we all know why, and Russia is no poor hapless victim of western aggression, it's a thug state run by an ex-KGB thug who desperately needs to invade its neighbors for the same reasons Hitler had to start invading his.

Yet no Democrats are sniveling about Biden's criminally incompetent foot dragging and poor foreign policy decisions. Obama and Biden were more interested in extorting Ukraine for cash and looking the other way when Putin invaded Crimea, so while the GOP is also wrong it was Obama/Biden who created the problems in the first place, and now refuse to fix their fuck ups.
