Truck Convoy Drives on Capital Beltway in Protest

Yeah they were dropped in NY, which is good because I was being blamed for it. Part of my family is bug fuck nuts. One of them started yelling at me incoherently about Nancy Pelosi's hair. I was having a party, so hadn't been paying attention to the news that week, because I was busy shopping to feed their stupid ass. You can imagine my confusion, since I never noticed anything so awful about Nancy's hair? So I didn't understand this meltdown was because Nancy Pelosi got a blowout. Bad news for Darla. I had another drink and dreamed of the day I could get a blowout, and then that day came and my hair looked so good, it didn't matter who was ranting about what. I have really nice hair. I never brag, but I really do.

And every time Cuomo had a press conference I was accused of wanting to sex him. As if! I like a pretty face, sue me. That whole "Cuomosexual" thing was also bad news for Darla.

No, what stopped it was Omicron giving natural immunity to everyone at nearly the same time. The vaccine never stopped the spread because folks with the vaccine still got it and spread it. (In Israel with over 90% vaccination, Omicron spread at the same rate as everywhere else because the vaccine did not give immunity).

It isn't stopped either. It is now endemic instead of pandemic. We will learn to live with the virus, because there is no other choice and the vaccine does not give immunity.

IF you say so. I agree, you are correct, it is not stopped, just greatly reduced... and it was the widespread use of the vaccine that did it, but you can try to claim it was a new variant that magically appeared at the same time as the vaccine was being widely used.

The vaccine did not give widespread immunity, but it did give widespread reduction in symptoms, severity and spread.

Yeah, thankfully an election year came along or we'd all be still sucking face masks, like the littles.

My littles are no longer wearing facemasks, thanks to the vaccine.

You see my littles chose to keep the masks on, at the risk of being hassled by the Governor... until their younger friends and teachers all had a chance to get vaccinated.

You do have thick, beautiful hair.

True. That combined with a new less deadly variant that spread far and wide is what put this disease into endemic status rather than pandemic. That's the science. Widespread use of the vaccine was useful, it simply did not grant immunity or stop the spread, pretending it did is absurd.

If it did grant actual immunity you know you'd be hearing from every righty how the vaccine was developed under Trump and that Brandon inherited a vaccine and a distribution plan that was already in place... but you don't. LOL. Likely because the political science doesn't allow it.

And then another family member got so mad that I refused to denounce Hunter Biden, that he swore never to speak to me again. Literally four days later he was on the phone asking if I need anything from Costco. They just can't quit me. It's both a gift and a burden I guess. Well, aren't all men?

It appears the vaccine has stopped the wide Spreading of the disease dead in its tracks.

Certainly slowed down the spread. As shown by the stats proving we're now in a pandemic of the unvaxxed, I see it as God's way of proving Darwin correct.

If it's at all political, the blame falls squarely on the QOP, not the (D)s. Did you fail to notice that mask mandates were dropped at least once last year too, in between surges? Last year was not an election year. I haven't worn one in the store for well over a year -- voluntarily. Some people still do. Good for them. I also see little ones with masks on out in public, even though they are not mandated here except in certain places, like medical offices or the airport.

Your littles aren't wearing facemasks because of DeSantis following the science, littles in NYC are still wearing them because of "not DeSantis" and political theater.

The vaccine provided a yet unknown level of immunity. It was a major factor in significantly reducing and ending the Pandemic. Trump is not bragging, because 1) he has little outlet to get any message out, and 2) His base is solidly against him on this, its the first issue ever that they have done something like that.

In this case, I'm not supporting absolutes but will readily agree the majority of the blame falls on the ex-Prez and the Republicans in Congress for politicizing a pandemic.

History will not be kind to the Republican Party or Trump in the first two years of this a global medical problem which was politicized to protect the then-President's ass..ets.

My little ones chose to wear the masks long after they were "allowed" by Tallahassee to take them off, for the humanitarian reasons expressed above. The science shows that the masks do provide some level of protections for the wearer and others. It was an easy thing to do, that MIGHT save someone's life or stem the spread. Governor Death harassed a kid for voluntarily wearing one due to his Grandmother being immune compromised. I would praise that kid for making a small sacrifice at the, no matter how slight, chance it would save his grandparent.

Many do not understand that Democracy does not mean you get to do whatever you want whenever, that's anarchy.

He sounds unstable. What is his age group and educational level? Does he fit the demographic of the Insurrectionists? 40ish, some or no college, conspiracy theorist, lower middle class with serious financial troubles, Qanon supporter?

Your little ones did what they thought would make you proud. Littles do that. It's part of what makes them awesome.

All of the science shows masks, worn properly, help lessen the spread at some degree, even if its simply directing the breath in a different direction than at the person you are speaking to.

the Cost of wearing a mask is miniscule to the benefit of even one life saved.

Trumppers think the cost of wearing a mask is way to much compared to the benefit of maybe saving a life, but making a pregnant woman keep her embryo is not so pricy compared to the chance the the law might save a life.

He might not be so bad if he actually had a rebuttal to your post, and then responded to *your* rebuttal. But he's just here to troll and make a bunch of posts that say nothing. So ignore it is.

I agree with that, but I also think something else is going on. I don't teach as a career now obviously, but I do keep a teaching license active. It requires a good amount of continuing education every year. I'm no expert by any means, but his posting behavior indicates to me a placement on the autism spectrum. The content of those posts, however, are straight up Trumpy troll. Autism would not explain why he unendingly claims that "there was no 2020 election".

They did what they thought was right.

If they chose differently for because they thought that was right... I would have been just as proud, and they know that.

They did what they thought was right.

If they are among the littles that we are speaking of in this thread they did what you thought was right, because children aged 5 or less are not really capable of that type of critical thinking.

True. They even booed him at one event where he stated that he had the vax and booster and they should get it too.

It was Frankenstein's monster turning against him. Wonder how many of the Cult died, who could have lived had they not allowed #TRE45ON to make a deadly disease a political bludgeon.
