"Trump Said Campaign Finance Violations Aren't a Crime"

Lets look at the facts:

1) Avenatti claims trump paid off Stormy Daniels.
2) IT comes out that she was paid $130,000.
3) The President on Air Force One says he knew nothing about it.
4) Cohen's office gets raided.
5) Giuliani says, Ya... Trump knew about the payment.
6) A tape is released with Trump and Cohen discussing the payment before the election.
7) It comes out that the payment to Stormy came from a Corporation's account where a Russian had deposited $500,000.
8) Cohen pleads guilty to the Felony relating to the payment to Stormy Daniels.
9) Trump says 51 USC 30118(a) is not a crime.
10) Trump says he knew about the payment, but only after the election. (Directly contradicts the Tape where he discusses it with Cohen)
11) Trump tells Foxnews that the money did not come from a campaign account.

Does anyone dispute these facts laid out above?

This all adds up to a felony violation of 51 USC 30118(a)

he hasn't driven anyone away. that is a complete fabrication.

Harley Davidson, Carrier, BMW, etc.

Diplomacy has stopped rockets from being fired over Japan and air raid sirens in Hawaii.

According to the news, North Korea hasn't stopped any of their nuclear program and is continuing to build rockets.

you are going to see a 3% annual GDP.

We are? Says who? GDP growth last quarter without the rush of exports ahead of the tariffs was just 3.1%. The quarter prior, it was 2.2%. Q3 is going to be below 3% again because of the drop in orders, drop in exports, and rising of consumer prices thanks to the tariffs. Oh, and we were promised 4-5% GDP growth.

wages are just beginning to come up.

No they're not. Real wages have declined.

GDP and wages were stagnant under Obama

No they weren't. Obama had 4 quarters of GDP growth higher than the 4.1% Trump had last quarter. And wages grew more under Obama than they have under Trump.

you do realize your triggered asinine posts make you look like a little dweeb

I'd like to know why you think impeachment would make Trump more popular. You seem to be banking on what happened with Clinton, while ignoring what happened with Nixon and Andrew Johnson.

No, but they make their own policy on what actions they permit in individual cases based on their opinion of what is Constitutional. They have a policy against indicting a sitting president.

Well the state of new york can press charges and indict him right?

Come on GayRod. You can do better.

You run around here talking about how guilty Trump is of all these crimes yet you don't want him indicted or impeached. I suspect you don't think he is guilty of any crimes.

you throw around "most people" like you actually know hat you're talking about.

Trump has a massive, net-negative approval rating. It's the opposite of where Clinton was when he was impeached. In fact, his approval ratings are where Nixon's were before he was impeached.

you sound stupid, stop it, for your own sake

You sound desperate.

Pols get fined for these violations all the time. Does the left really think that all the pols who wrote the campaign finance rules were putting together something that would indict themselves of a crime every time a rule was broken????
Idiots. :palm:

Not quite accurate. DEMOCRAT pols get fined, republicans go to prison, like Dinesh D'Souza.

you explain to me how this impeachment process would work, I'll stop you when you reach the impossible

ok....STOP

I want them to impeach him, but don't remove him.

Then file the charges when he is no longer president.

Well, I thought the argument was that impeachment would make Trump more popular. The House needs a simple majority to impeach...getting a conviction in the Senate is another story. A lot will depend on what Mueller's report shows, but even then they don't need Mueller to impeach Trump over the campaign finance violations, or whatever comes of the NYAG probe of the Trump Foundation. Plus, there's all the Cohen stuff.

The Russian GOP is facing an existential crisis. Either way they go, they're going to be fucked.

"Speaking under oath in court Tuesday, Michael Cohen admitted arranging payments to keep a former Playboy model and a porn star quiet during the 2016 election about alleged affairs “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office” — Trump. He told the judge that he knew what he was doing was illegal but that he did it anyway.

All of these admissions, as the Judge presiding over the case, William H. Pauley III, said in court Tuesday, rendered Cohen’s actions a felony: he knew he was breaking the law — specifically the Federal Election Act, which regulates money in politics — and he did it anyway. If he had no knowledge he was doing anything illegal, but merely donated more money than the federally allotted limit, he potentially could have faced a less severe repercussion, such as a monetary fine from the Federal Election Commission.

“The difference between a campaign finance violation that is a crime and a campaign finance violation is a civil matter is whether the action was taking knowingly and willfully,” explained Paul S. Ryan, the Vice President of Policy & Litigation at Common Cause, the non-partisan organization that filed complaints with the Department of Justice and the Federal Election Commission earlier this year regarding these payments."

"Nevertheless, Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that the violations to which Cohen pleaded guilty weren’t really crimes"

http://time.com/5374619/donald-trump-campaign-finance-law-crimes/

Appears that we are now moving in Trump's illusionary reality beyond "truth isn't the truth" to "law ain't law," the alternative law, and after the right wing media pounds the script home, the lemmings will argue it

the second a Democrat does it, it's a Crime

what Trump tweeted, in your own link by the way was that what Cohen pleaded guilty to was the same thing Obama was charged with.

Which by the way was not only not reported by your heroes at CNN but was settled by paying a fine

so tell us nut-bag

what do you have to say now that your own thread title was a lie, that I had to straighten out

so comment on the link you posted
what should happen to Trump and Cohen on the campaign finance issue?
tell us, come on nut-bag, think of something, you posted it

As usual completely wrong. Obama's campaign staff was charged with not filling out paperwork, which is not a crime and handled with a fine by the FEC. Cohen and Trump are engaged in violations which are in civil courts and potential felonies. Turn off FoxGnus.

I want them to try him in the Senate to force Republicans to choose between Trump and the country.

Real Americans beat you to it,

they chose Trump and Country

I don't know where you have been or where you think you are going, but it's sad to watch you and your fellow nut-bags put your triggered whiny selves over country
