They construct a defensive capsule in race cars. Nascars bump into each other and bounce off walls. Airbags would deploy too easily.
Exactly. Comparing the two is insane, but insane is the new normal for Republicans.
They construct a defensive capsule in race cars. Nascars bump into each other and bounce off walls. Airbags would deploy too easily.
Because race cars require the best seat belts. Seat belts if worn correctly make airbags redundant, but they are often not worn completely correctly in normal cars. Are you saying normal car drivers should have five point seatbelts tightened on them? Have you seen how firm those things are?
This current thing is just a timeline for a proposal... A timeline that will certainly slip... For a proposal that may never happen.
If the proposal is bad, then come out against it, but making up lies about a proposal that does not even exist yet just makes the maga/alt right look dumber... If that were possible.
Rightys are anti-science and anti-anything new. https://www.whichcar.com.au/car-advice/what-airbags-do-and-how-airbags-keep-you-safe airbags are very important in clashes and do a great job of protecting you.
I encourage you to wise up....everything that matters is decided by people who dont give a flying fuck what the people think.
And yet, no where in the law does it say anything about that. There is no mention of a "kill switch" or even a hint. It gives a time frame for the NHS to come up with proposals for a system to detect drunken drivers, but it will need further laws to actually come into existence... And will almost certainly not make its deadlines.
It really is quite boring.
I am sure PTif will start claiming the government can deploy airbags whenever they want also... They just have not.
They never tell you the full story they are corrupt politicians
"Here is a few million dollars, see if you can design a safer car, and get back to us if you do." That is basically what is being said, and it does not seem very corrupt to me. It is a bit directionless, but if it bares fruit, that is good.
Walt, give me a million dollars. I will design a new car. I will get back to you if I do. Good bye.
I somehow doubt you have the expertise to do anything. And your last two sentences cement my doubt, because you do not even seem to realize that data reporting is required.
Of course results are required, even if all failures.
Of course results are required, even if all failures.
Yes, that is the way science and engineering work. In fact, failure is not really even failure, it is a successful proof that something does not work.
I really do not think RB understands how development works. New things just appear at local stores, and he thinks it is magic.
Implied consent. Does this idiot op understand anything?
OMG! what is this country coming to? Stopping people from getting drunk and driving!!! That is an American right!!!!!!!

In a 2017 report, the United State’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that almost 300 deaths were caused by front airbag deployment in low-speed crashes during 1990-2008.

The number one tip for airbag safety for short drivers is keeping a safe distance from the air-bag in their steering wheel. NHTSA recommends that there be 10 inches between the air-bag cover and a driver’s breastbone. This is best achieved by adjusting your seat position or through the use of pedal extensions.

Are airbags safe or dangerous in case of accident?
https://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/9534/are-airbags-safe-or-dangerous-in-case-of-accident
Their answer is Yes, they can be dangerous.
Yes they are dangerous, and there's a reason I disconnected the fuse for mine in my vehicle. I was working at a restaurant and this lady who was a regular was turning into the parking lot and got lightly T-boned, very low impact, under 10 MPH. She was in a convertible car, and it all
happened right in front of me because I out front doing..something. So she takes a breath and turns to me and goes to say something, and POW! The airbag hits her right in the face. Next thing I know she's getting hauled off on a gurney. That's fucked up.
The accident was well over with and that airbag hurt her pretty bad.
I understand you are a fucking ignoramus.
