I won't follow your instructions. A survey of small businesses with good historical accuracy is a HELL of a lot different than Dixie's usual "wait & see!" posts.

And why are you so enamored of Dixie? Is he family or something?

We will have to wait & see if the survey results pan out, but that doesn't make the survey sheer "speculation." It's real business owners, talking about real plans. Most businesses plan hires & fires at least a quarter ahead of time (sure ya didn't know that...)

the military is not socialism, but at least you've run away from you stupid stance on the "time factor"....claiming that the government taking over a traditionally private enterprise is somehow the same as calling the national guard, a traditionally government role, is so stupid its beyond belief you would even think to use that as a comparison

i misread, my bad....

taking over an area during an emergency and assumingly declaring some sort of martial law if you want....is not what the US has done with GM....taking over an area is about maintaining law and order, not owning the land or the businesses, i can't believe you're this naive, no wonder i misread your post, i guess i couldn't believe anyone would be this stupid to suggest that

Yurt, using statistics of business owner's real plans for the future is nothing at all like Dixie making his predictions by pulling them out of his white ass.

As I told you I do pay taxes. Furthermore, I am not expecting others to pay taxes to help me so I don't see where my supposed greed plays any part.

Obviously you are greedy. Did you get a raw deal in life? Did you have to scratch and claw your way?

do you believe the government should take your money and give it to whom they deem fit.....or are you better able to make that decision with your money?

The "greed" part is, you don't want to use your own money to care for the needy, you want the government to take MY money and care for the needy! Because you think I have more money than I need, and I don't deserve to spend it how I please. If you can get the government to soak my ass in taxes, it lets you off the hook... you can sleep well tonight knowing all the poor people are cared for, not because YOU helped, but because you saw to it that government stole MY money and helped the needy with it. You didn't have to write the check... it wasn't YOUR money... but the needy got helped, and you can feel good about yourself for that!

GREED! GREED! GREED! Because you are too GREEDY to do your part and help the needy with your OWN money! That's the "greed" part I am talking about!

How can I or anyone else make that decision by themselves? How many people know the intimate, financial details of friends and family members let alone neighbors or people who live on the other side of town or across the country?

Even when it comes to community organizations who are they going to help; the person who has lived in town all their life or the relative newcomer?

Financial assistance must be impartial. The most needy are usually people who have the fewest connections (friends, family, etc)
