I know Obama is winning on the numbers issue, and I can't say I disagree with you about his policies either. If it was up to me, we should have had WPA/CCC type programs instituted months ago, putting money into the hands of the unemployed/underemployed to circulate into the economy. I believe the situation was worse than we were led to believe, and true emergency measures should have been instituted beyond the bailouts of suffering but wealthy industries.
However, I also believe, because his name is Obama, any measures taken would have been attacked by RW gurus and politicians because, though they call themselves "patriots", that only holds true during an administration of their choice.

Because when he left office it was still under 7.7%. Everyone knew there was a recession on, thus they expected an increase, just not where it's going now. Why do you think Obama is piling money into venues that will not create jobs and why trying to institute policies that will kill more jobs?

Obama has been in office over 9 months. It' not Bush's problem anymore, he can't do anything about it. Obama can, his proposals: cap & trade; health care; auto bailouts; more bank bailouts; more bank failures; instituting new 'alliances' with Native Americans; attacking Fiji; giving away our security to Iran and Russia just to name two...

How do any of these help gain jobs? How many are job killers?

You never know until it happens. We've attacked Fiji? Np it's not bush's problem any more, he's doing what he does best, making money on the bush name, however that doesn't change the fact that on 1/20/2009 the problems left over from the previous 8 years were awaiting Obama.

Please somebody, anybody, tell me when the RW GOP accepted the fact that after 8 years of bush economic policies we were left with an economy in shambles even after Paulson announced it.
Until then, it is evident RW hypocricy is rampant and they can discuss nothing with veracity.

Rods to Russia, rejected. Shield in Eastern Europe, rejected by Obama via Putin. What was given for any of these things? Nothing. In fact, net loss. Few trust US now, thank you with the new, improved, foreign policies.

hmmm.....now that's a tough call.....there were these Mongolian guys who once invaded most of Asia and Europe........not to mention some British who invaded countries on pretty much every continent......and the Romans of course, they moved around a lot......

Tell me british boy... do list the countries that the US has taken over and controlled, then list those that have been taken over by the English/British. I know this is going to seem quite silly and probably just my imagination, but wasn't the very city you live in under the British boot until a mere decade ago? British traders settled on a basically uninhabited island, much as they did at Plymouth Rock. Control was NOT 'handed' over. Control was part of a 99 year agreement with China.
