US COVID-19 deaths by Election Day

Will US COVID-19 deaths exceed the 62,000 by Election Day?

Too right you are.

I do not think most rednecks even know that flag is the battlefield standard of an enemy army.

I also think most - not all - rednecks wave that flag because they think it triggers liberals, or because they want to"stick it" to the"darkies".

Yep... very childish.

Yes, but I would bet you there will be grins on some of the faces at MSNBC that literally cried the night that Trump got elected if the deaths reach a certain point (no I don't know the point, but it would be where they think it "guarantees" a D win in the election). They won't even realize that they are swimming in the political macabre because they still somehow believe that there is no political agenda there...

I believe that some folks at this site will have the same reaction, some will even admit to it.

Spot on

I've noticed a 'Red Team/Blue Team' mentality here.
If Obama did it ... Red Team says it's 'WRONG!'
If Trump did the same thing ... Red Team says it's 'RIGHT!'.
Or you can reverse it and get the same results from Blue Team.

So ... I think it does have EVERYTHING to do with the 'Jersey'.

You're wrong Jack. Criticisms of Obama centered around his policies and weren't emotionally unhinged. If you are claiming the unhinged hatred for Trump is the same, you're either a liar or an idiot.

Easy example:
Obama wants to implement a surgical strike on the Assad Regime for using outlawed Chemical weapons ... Red Team screams bloody murder.
Trump wants to do the same thing for the same reason ... Red Team cheers and waves the American Flag.

--->Jersey Color<---

BULLS SHIT. Leftists denounced and screamed bloody murder against Bush for eight years for a strategic and worthy invasion of Iraq, after they were FOR it. THEN, Leftists cheered for attacks in Syria without any reasonable strategy.

I wish you could get ONE thing right for once in your miserable existence.

The Confederate States of America was an enemy nation that the United States defeated on the battlefield in 1865.

The modern south is part of the United States, its residents are full citizens of this country, and is a region of the nation I spent seven years of my life living in.

In my opinion, it is indecorous for some northern redneck to parade around with the battle standard of the army of an enemy nation. I do not see Japanese Americans parading around with the battlefield standard of the imperial army of WW2

:eyeroll:

Unfortunately, yours is the standard, bigoted view of both the South and the Confederacy. Let's not forget it was the North that invaded the South making the North the enemy. :)

Yes, there are a few dipshit bigoted cocksuckers who are racists and use a noble battle flag for very low class purposes, but they are a minority. People like Bobb and CFM (possibly the same person) are rare. Not all of those in Michigan were racists just because they were flying a CSA flag. Most believe in States Rights over Federal Authority; something Trump declared he had then backpedaled from it.

In Michigan, they were a bit misguided because it was their own governor ordering the lockdown. Despite all of Trump's blathering about how he's king, the final authority, tin-plated dictator, whatever, he doesn't have the authority to shut down a state. It's all on the Governor.

Dude, for your edification, this flag is still in use by the Japanese Maritime Defense Force:

Its a pretty cool flag

They aren't Americans. My post spoke about Americans.
I literally have never seen any Americans - Japenese ancestry or not - parading around with a Japanese military battle standard.
I

You spoke both about an enemy of "Americans" and Americans. Which is it? You can't have it both ways.

Since you claim to know so much, why did Lincoln violate the Constitution by invading the South and causing a war that cost 2% of the entire population?

2% is twice the death rate projected for COVID-19. :)

The south fired the first shots by attacking American soldiers at Fort Sumter.

I for one am glad Abraham Lincoln had the fortitude to defeat the armed forces of the Confederate States of America, force them to concede and surrender, shepard the 13th amendment through Congress, and once and forevermore make slavery illegal in the United States

No, just the hypocrites. The ones that complain about patriotism while insulting our patriotism waving around the emblems of one of our biggest enemies in history saying we have to respect it like the American flag. You can't complain about others assimilating to America while doing that. They'll complain about the Mexican flag for that same reason

Hmm....there's a lot going on there to unpack.

Agreed they are hypocrites, but I've never seen anyone say others have to respect any CSA flag more than or equal to the USA flag.

The irony is that the LWer haters of the South are fine with the Mexican flag over Six Flags of Texas, but forced them to take down the CSA flag. Another example of Northern hate, bigotry and hypocrisy. So they are in good company with the RW bigots who hate the Mexican flag.

Duh, yes. After months of telling them they were evicted, just like a NY slumlord having the police evict bums, the army of South Carolina fired on Fort Sumter. Now tell me how that justifies Lincoln to invade Virginia?

I'm fine with banning slavery. It's unChristian and an abomination. Are you really saying that it was worth 2% of the US population dying to make that happen sooner rather than later? Do you actually understand that Lincoln didn't attack and invade the South over slavery?
