The ones that complain about patriotism while insulting our patriotism waving around the emblems of one of our biggest enemies in history saying we have to respect it like the American flag. I'm a northern liberal and I don't view the entire south as our enemy. That's reserved for idiots that display that flag rather than the Stars and Stripes, the true flag of our nation. And why bring it to a protest in MICHIGAN, of all places? Michigan citizens fought on the side of the Union; one of my ancestors died in that war.

The modern south is part of the United States, its residents are full citizens of this country, and is a region of the nation I spent seven years of my life living in.

In my opinion, it is indecorous for some northern redneck to parade around with the battle standard of the army of an enemy nation. I do not see Japanese Americans parading around with the battlefield standard of the imperial army of WW2

I feel like it is poor etiquette for Americans to parade with Nazi flags, the flag of the Soviet Union, the flag of the Viet Cong, or the battle standard of the Army of the Confederate States of America.

I do not think most rednecks even know that flag is the battlefield standard of an enemy army.
