The philosophy of communism was not bad, but the practice was. The leadership took the power and the money for themselves. Venezuela actually was doing a far better job for the people on wealth distribution providing schools and supports they never had before. But they were very dependent on oil. That allowed the oil nations to control them. They gutted oil prices leaving a mess.
Cuba never had a chance. We blockaded any chance they had to prove their system worked. We starved them. We did that for over 60 years.
Out system is headed for a crash. We have the worst wealth distribution since the Gilded Age. The 18th century revolutions should have told you how that ends.

Don't think so. Haven't seen evidence -- yet anyways -- that the person I was replying to (Drummie) is a racist. We can always amend that later if it turns out that he is. But saying he must be because we don't see eye to eye is the same as him assuming that I'm a communist Muslim, for the same reasons.
