What about his 2nd Amendment Rights?

he was already a convicted felon, so what good did any question about whether he should own another rifle do, or does? it's totally irrelevant. what SHOULD have happened is he should have never been released in to the public again.

So better enforcement is a bad idea?

Prohibiting him from owning an AK would not be limiting his absolute 2n Amendment rights?

You should've Posted the pic of that white thug. As far as his rights, I'm sure the NRA considers him a responsible gun owner and will represent him.

I posted it in the ignorant ass thread about calling black criminals 'Trayvonites'

I'm no criminal, but that bitch can call me a 'Trayvonite' any time it chooses.

In fact I think I'll call myself that.

Michael Brandon Hill Charged McNair Elementary School Shooting Suspect

Again, school shooting terror -- but a relieved outcome
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/08/20/ga-school-gunfire-dekalb/2677507/

Even when the school is almost entirely black in a black county .. the shooter is still the same.

Yeah, laws against murder are useless since criminals don't obey them either.

No offense, Rune, but that's one of the weaker arguments against gun control laws.

Really, before you start with me, lose the talking points and learn the factual side of the debate.
Start with gun shows, since you think felons can legally buy weapons there. (they can't).

Then armed with at least some knowledge, you and I can debate this, if you choose.

I assume they can if they don't use a dealer, but buy from a private individual; in California those still require background check, but I thought other states didn't require that.
in a land using the rule of law, we would consider that prior restraint on the exercise of a right. In our current land that's ruled by man and emotion, some people think they should require a permit and background check to do most anything.

actually, it's the most sensible argument if only the hoplophobes use rational logic and not an emotional need to prevent everything.

Not legally. Hence the fact that gun laws are useless since criminals do not obey them.

Are you saying there's no back door deals at gun shows with gun dealers selling guns to criminals to bypass laws?

I guess I'd better dig out those videos, huh?

I said not legally. I made no other claim. If what you claim is true, it sounds like an enforcement issue.
Considering how difficult and expensive it is to aquire an FFL the idea of risking one for a quick profit seems very unlikely, especially since gun shows are policed by undercover ATF agents, known to be among the most ruthless in law enforcement, so you accusation makes very little sense.

inventory is also a very closely monitored area by ATF.

this is a conspiracy. what kind of gun guy just fires a few dingy shots when he has in ak47? Maybe he got cold feet?

I bet this guy is a CIA agent or something that the administration is using for propaganda purposes. He'll have a show trial and once the heat dies down they will let him go. This is all about stirring about fervor.

I though the argument was that the right was absolute, you cant take an absolute right away...! Absolute means absolute!

So should deranged mental patients have gun rights? You are actually claiming rights have no limits?

The convicted felon has proven he is not responsible enough to own a gun.

Interestingly though, he is still entitled to own a muzzle loading single shot weapon.

We actually WOULD claim there are limits. But somehow conservatives don't want to accept them.
