Just the fact that at any given time 25% of the population is suffering from metal illness is enough reason for me, thank you.

Especially considering that I am recovering from a very severe near death situation with a mental health component and it took months to get to see a psychiatrist.

This is why I push liberals to improve access to mental health services rather than try to curtail gun rights, but dealing with lefties logically is impossible, as you know.

Right...because of course no felon would ever go to a gun show looking to find a dealer who is, shall we say, "less than reputable" to meet him in some parking lot after the gun show and sell him a weapon...that never happens, right?
