What should the US do if Washington DC is made a state?

Figures you are against the Constitution.

OTOH, your dream will never happen. There are legitimate reasons for government at all levels and, therefore for a federal government.

How much at all levels varies, but I favor more State's Rights, less Federal authority.

Pay attention dumbass. I never mentioned this as a dream of mine.

Washington DC won't be a state. /QUOTE]

Giving it to Maryland solves nothing.
Rural conservatives as a percentage of the population are vastly overrepresented in the senate, and anything other than the addition of overtly blue states accomplished nothing to fix that.
The status quo will ultimately make partition and the end of the current republic inevitable.

Considering you can't fix a screwed up quote, I'll pass on accepting your analysis. :)

The problem won't be solved by dominating each other.

What makes you think conservatives are all rural?
