What the right’s gas stove freakout was really about

The rightys seek anything they can raise crap about. They have people searching full-time. A small bureaucrat noted that gas stoves present a health problem and we should do studies to see how bad they are. If the problem is serious, consider banning them. The rights claimed the admin was canceling gas stoves. The rightys screamed, cried, bleated, and bitched. Trumpian dishonesty is rampant in America.

Denial of self argument.

WRONG. The Constitution prevents it from doing so. NOTHING authorizes Congress to ban gas stoves.

You are not only an exceptionally stupid person, Milquetoast, but you're not shy about advertising the fact either.

You obviously haven't the first fucking clue as to what the constitution is.
It's not a manifesto of rights,
It's a fucking "constitution, explaining that of which the national government is constituted, i.e., made up of.
What do you speak as your first language, anyway?

I never said it was a manifesto of rights. I've said the opposite repeatedly. Stop making shit up. Rights do not come from the Constitution or any other piece of paper.

Inversion fallacy.

Dumb shit. The constitution was not an itemization of everything that was going to be allowed for all time. There is so much that they could not know about the future. Franj\klin suggested that the constitution should be rewritten every 19 years. Can you figure out why? Because things change and there are new problems that could not be imagined in 1776. They were smart enough to know they did not know the future. The Constitution is a starter kit. It needs to be changed to suit the times. I bet they would have outlawed infantry weapons in citizens' hands. They were silent on gas stoves because they were still burning wood. Their guns were very different from the ones we have today. You can be sure if they saw citizens getting shot daily and mass shootings normalized, they would have stopped it.

Never said it was. Constitutions do not 'allow' anything. Constitutions define and describe a government. That's what a republic is. You obviously don't even know what a constitution is or what it does.
There is so much that they could not know about the future.
Irrelevant. Presentism fallacy.

Presentism fallacy. To read the Constitution to see how it is changed.
I bet they would have outlawed infantry weapons in citizens' hands.
WRONG. They DID.
They were silent on gas stoves because they were still burning wood.
Irrelevant. The federal government was never given authorization to ban any kind of stove.
Their guns were very different from the ones we have today.
So? Straw man fallacy.
You can be sure if they saw citizens getting shot daily and mass shootings normalized, they would have stopped it.
The DID. I guess you never learned about the Revolutionary war or the events leading up to it, including the Boston massacre, the attacks on the citizens of Lexington and Concord, or any of the other attacks on citizens by British soldiers. Those are mass shootings.

Night is highly offended by the joke that Congress has secretly banned gas stoves... It has not happened, and no reason to believe it will.

But in the hypothetical situation that they did, Congress often does this through taxation. They could just set taxes on gas stoves very high, which is completely constitutional. More recently, they have depended on the part of the Constitution that allows the Congress to "regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes." Technically, you could still have a gas stove that in no way was involved in interstate commerce, but that would be difficult.

Paranoid Schizophrenics only like their own jokes, no one elses.

It is not happening because of the revolt that formed. No, you cannot deny what Democrats said or did.

Really happy for my gas heater and this cookstove. Electricity has been off about 16 hours now. I kind of liked having a fresh cup of hot coffee this morning.
