Really? Bush had a home in Texas and had been governor there. In addition he spent his life back and forth from Texas. His dialect does not change unconsciouslt for a southern black audience.

bush lived in TX as a child for about 12 years before moving around the country and finally going back. Hillary lived in Arkansas for 20 years before the Clinton presidency and people there have (gasp) southern accents. So it's not a stretch to think either got an accent by living side by side with it for decades.

Yes, and at no time during her husbands first run for the presidency did she utter a southern accent. But yet, all those years later, in front of a southern black audience (in a church) she is suddenly and unconsciously, struck with one of the worst sounding southern accents. Which immediately disappears once finished

Bush has never been struck with an unconscious attack of badly posed dialect, no matter the audience. Not even when speaking in the North East, where as you note he also spent time.

who cares where he was born? he grew up and was raised in texas you dummy. and it wasn't like libs were hesitant to acknowledge him as a backwoods simpleton.

I remember when I became convinced she was a phony. It was during her campaigning to a black audience in a church (only democrats can use pulpits for politics without outrage ensuing) and she put on a fake accent trying to sound like a southern black woman. It was awful and insulting.

Youtube videos: GHW Bush, Barbara Bush, Neil Bush, Jeb Bush, Jenna Bush, young Barbara Bush.. NO Southern accents, g.w. bush, drawling ex yokel-in-chief.

I don't care if you're pissed off until the cows come home. It doesn't change the fact that bush exaggerates his accent and if Hillary's a phony for what she did, she's in good company.

g. w. is the only one in his family with a drawl and except for the parents they all grew up in Texas so that argument doesn't fly.

Pretty sad if cons have to use this as a negative talking point. The fear is becoming evident.
