When the Constitution was trashed and how we may never recover.

I know the legislation. Where does Congress get the constitutional power to pass legislation about immigration control? I know Congress has the legislative power, but they need constitutional authority. You shouldn't be calling anybody dumb when you don't know how government works.

Article I, $8. RQAA. Stop asking this question. I have answered it three times already.

They are not overriding the Constitution.
They are overriding the Constitution. Such laws are unconstitutional.
States have that authority under the Constitution.
No, they do not.
The 2nd did not restrict state action until 2010.
States NEVER had that authority since the 2nd amendment.
See McDonald v. Chicago. Justices Scalia and Alito agreed the 14th Amendment incorporated the 2nd to apply to the states.
No court has authority over the Constitution. No court can change the Constitution.

where does 2nd Amend. state that?

the right of the people and shall not be infringed..........along with the dozens of pieces of commentary given to the people of the new states before, during, and after ratification.

I'm still trying to understand how you idiots believe that there was some secret document undertaking by madison that says 'let's fuck with the new people and lie to them about what they are ratifying'............can you show me that?

It is not a notion. The Declaration has never been used as the authority for any government action under our current Constitution. You are confusing your sources of authority.

the Declaration is the first original source of we the people declaring our freedom from oppressive authority. how anyone can seriously discard it's notification to government is stupefying.

you're one of those low information morons who believes that the SCOTUS gets to tell you what is and isn't Constitutional, aren't you?

That was under Great Britain and was a justification of declaring independence. It has never been used as a source of authority for any legal action by the U. S. It is a statement of philosophy.

Maybe you can cite the court cases or actions based on the "legal authority" of the Declaration.

I was just citing the opinions of Thomas, Alito, and Scalia. I guess they are morons.

The Supreme Court establishes the law that governs us. If you believe in the rule of law you follow their decisions whether you agree or not.

Obviously, my information on this issue is not nearly as low as yours. You deny over 200 years of constitutional history because you don't like the opinions.

Legal authority does not have to be a court case or action. The Declaration of Independence is a legal document, declaring independence from the British crown. It IS the authority of that action.

It is also philosophy.
