she pointed out the failure of the blue run schools in places like Flint and Detroit and proved that charter schools and parental choice was the solution.......she was right.....you are wrong......for those who graduated from a public education, that means everyone doesn't get a gold star sticker........

to be fair......my daughter in law homeschools my granddaughter who is ten....I think she's done a pretty good job so far......last year we were watching the latest Jurassic Park movie and I made a comment about the gender of the baby dinosaur that the "last" of its species gave birth to and she proceeded to explain to me how its gender would have to be identical to that of the mother since both sides of its DNA would have come from the same creature.......and yesterday I made a crack about misogynism to her mother and g/d chuckled because she got it....

They were open because the science said it was ok to be open. Your response just proves the point. You love the slogan "we believe in science" yet in action politics, catering to one the Democratic Parties biggest and most powerful backers, trumped anything science said.

Schools were closed not for the children’s benefits, but for the sake of teachers and staff, and once, again, because hospitals were being overwhelmed. Our school did not have enough staff at one point, another reason for online learning and to keep family at home safe as well.

So all Cali has is Catholic schools? Their mission is to indoctrinate when they are young. So that complies with their mission statements. Religion needs to become part of kid's lives early and without pause.

We have both Catholic schools and non religious based private schools. Religion is irrelevant here. You're ignoring the point because you know its right. The decision to keep schools closed after the science said it was safe to return was a political one. You're stuck because you claim to back science but are a Democrat and want to back the teachers unions and Democratic politicians who kept the schools closed.
