Not to mention textbooks and such written by PhD's in education. I saw one written by 3 PhD's and a MA in education that was for basic science and technology. It was beyond execrable. I remember one example in particular from it, where they described a "turbine" (they meant 'generator') is two magnets connected by a piece of wire. That is utterly and completely wrong! It so wrong it hurts. Their explanation of nuclear power--other than it's bad--was equally vacuous. It was clear looking through it that not one of them had even a basic knowledge of science or technology, yet they were publishing a textbook (it was published by McGraw-Hill) solely on their academic credentials.
Oh, did I mention, all four were women...
