Not all Republics are Democracies, ask Oliver Cromwell.
A republic is not a democracy.
No republics are democracies.
Not all Republics are Democracies, ask Oliver Cromwell.
THey do not trust the will of the people or the ideals of the founding fathers.
What is it when a minority tries to take away everyone's rights?
Or ask the leaders of The People's Republic of China.
The terms refer to different things. "Republic" defines the structure of the national govt as being other than a monarchy. "Democracy" defines how the structure is fundamentally assembled. Our democratic republic is different from China's non-democratic republic. Obviously almost every national government is now a republic with but a few monarchies remaining. Not the case when Franklin uttered his famous, "...a republic if you can keep it."
Biggest crowds win would mean we are a democracy. Are we a democracy in the US?
It's you that is astoundingly stupid...

Thomas Jefferson

A quote without a link. Link to the dictionary source and quote, please.
It's fascism 101, you act like the country is shit (because of brown people) and the only way to fix it is to dump a bunch of uncheckable power on to one man (let's be real here, fascists would never choose a woman). Democracy gets in the way of that.
You should go back to fifth grade and take a civics class.

The illogic of it is priceless, as if it is possible that dictionaries could exist before the words they define.
I didn't lie nitwit. The quote came word for word out of google, I didn't make it up. Anyway, an economy can be a mix of government and private control, as it is in many nations, and not be fascism which controls other aspects of a society as well.
Only if Trump is the leader.
