It's perfectly natural for men to theorize about their beginnings and their endings in philosophical ways. I can't think of a major civilization where this has not occurred, and many of these have rationalized these unknowns to be due to a all powerful being.
 
Moving on, traditional marriage has proven to be the backbone of civilized societies and therefore should be recognized by the State as such, and protected by bastardizations.

This is a standard response with no real meaning in the debate.

What damage would be done by gay marriage to the backbone of society? If straight marriages are the backbone, then gay marriage would also provide all of the same benefits, with the possible exception of children. But with adoption and artificial insemination, that too can be overcome.

Moral? Any standard that calls intimate contact between two consenting adults that love each other "immoral" is a standard that we do not need in our laws.

Healthy? If you mean this to be the contraction and spread of diseases, then lesbian sex is the healthiest sex. They have the lowest rate of HIV and other STD transmission.

What is truly "natural", is that the strongest of a specis mate with an many females they can remain in control of.
Monogomy is actually un-natural, in most species.

SM, you are avoiding a question I have asked several times.

If we are banning gay marriage based on sodomy, do we stop allowing straight couple who have oral sex the right to marry?

If that is the basis of your objections, then every man who has ever gotten a blowjob from his wife, or every man who has ever gone down on his wife should have their marriage annuled?

The NT was a new Covenant; it didn't toss out morality.

That's not my argument. Sex is also for love and intimacy between a man and his wife.
