Why homosexuality should be banned

The issue here, of course, is that society will be systematically and wholesale lying to children. Doesn't that bother you?

Unless you have actually met Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, we are already doing that quite well.


It is much more serious that we have to explain to children why straights can marry and gays can't. Especially when we have already explained the everyone is equal in the eyes of the law.

According to Websters dictionary, the definition of normal includes "conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern".
I think that will fit gay marriage quite well.

Is it "normal" for gays to lie and marry the opposite sex? I would say that gay marriage is quite normal for gays. For a gay to marry someone of the opposite sex would be abnormal.

It is only an issue if you see homosexuality as a threat. I do not.

I have taught my kids about a lot of things that I do not so, and a lot of things that the majority of people do not do.

The APA does not believe that homosexuality is mental illness or impairment. And the AMA agrees with them.

I see no harm in our society accepting it as part of the culture.

the cali decision clearly stated that the constitution, which you should know is the highest law in CA besides the US constitution, did not define marriage...

I taught them that it is how you live your life, not who you love, that determines whether you are living a moral life.

I taught them that using someone for sex was immoral, but that physical expressions of love are not immoral.

I taught them that it would be better to wait until you are married to have sex, but if you refuse to do that, have safe sex. Which removes any "unhealthy" part from the equation.

I also taught them that everyone I know who is gay has said they were born that way, that they did not decide to be gay.

And I taught them not to judge others. And I read to them from the bible where Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

They believe that gay marriage is the right thing for this country to do.




The sad part, SM, is that when gay marriage becomes law, people like you who fought against it will be looked at in the same light as those who fought against the Civil Rights movement and those who fought against gays becoming more open.

And it will become legal. Its just a matter of when.

/shrugs....you are flat out lying about the status of gay marriage before 1977 and you are pretending that therefore I have backed myself into something I can't get out of?......sure I can, by pointing out you are lying.....gay marriage simply wasn't allowed in California before 1977......how can you say otherwise?......show me a gay couple married before 1977.....show me a quote from a legitimate source saying that a gay couple could get a marriage license before 1977......

lol...it was so clear that they had to CHANGE the statute in 1977 and change it again in 2000 with prop 22....

how quickly you forget that your own cited research in this thread specifically stated the statue was ambigious, thus they changed it
