Neither do libertarians. At least free speech would prevent such ideas as outlawing political parties which is found in the worst of systems.
Libertarianism is a sure-fire train to chaos and anarchy.
I cannot see how libertarianism can be held in check to avoid that excess.
Personally, I fear the impact of Libertarianism more than that of the American right...and I think the American right is leading us to a Hitler style of rule.

Anarchy? Like what was going with CHAZ in Seattle? I don’t think we would see that.
For decades Libertarians have spoken out against the War on Drugs, the militarization of the police and that we put too many people in jail. Notice any similarities to what Black Lives Matters is supporting?
We could go through the platform but look at foreign policy and Libertarians were against the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. How many people in the U.S. have said we need to stop being the world’s policeman and pull back from foreign entanglements? Right in line with Libertarian beliefs.
There are obviously differences between Republicans and Democrats but at a certain level there is a lot that is similar. Thus the fear of breaking away from what we know.
