You have already forgotten what you typed? Sounds like a health problem. Or maybe drug abuse. You have been calling the ones you refer to as "gunlovers" and the people who have stores of food paranoid. Can you show at least 4 of those symptoms that fit us?

Again?

When was the first time you showed us at least 4 of those symptoms? Since I have been asking you have been trying the Vinnie Barbarino defense. "What?" "where?"

Is Vinnie one of your personalities?

So you call people paranoid. I have tried several times to get you to show any evidence to support your claim. You copy & paste a wikipedia article on paranoia, which includes a list of symptoms. It states that a person should have at least 4 of the symptoms to be termed "paranoid". I then ask which 4 are you saying fit us (those of us you have called paranoid), and you start a dancing, diverting, and trying to change the subject.

Did I get that about right?

Have you figured out which 4 symptoms fit us?

You are mistaken.

Who is "us"?

You seem confused. Are you slipping back into your Solitary persona again? I noticed that you attacked my family earlier.

How sad.

What part of my statement is not true?

When you posted "The discussion has been an attempt to understand your constant fretting about what you and your fellow paranoiacs say you will do in the event of some Doomsday event.", to whom were you speaking?

Obsessing on the Solitary thing is gonna get you outted even more. ;)

You said I copied and pasted a WikiPedia article on paranoia. Obviously untrue. Did you have a "good reason" for this lie, too?

One of the symptoms.

People with paranoid personality disorder are generally characterized by having a long-standing pattern of pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others.

A person with paranoid personality disorder will nearly always believe that other people's motives are suspect or even malevolent.

Individuals with this disorder assume that other people will exploit, harm, or deceive them, even if no evidence exists to support this expectation.

While it is fairly normal for everyone to have some degree of paranoia about certain situations in their lives (such as worry about an impending set of layoffs at work), people with paranoid personality disorder take this to an extreme.

Because they are hypervigilant for potential threats, they may act in a guarded, secretive, or devious manner and appear to be "cold" and lacking in tender feelings.

Although they may appear to be objective, rational, and unemotional, they more often display a labile range of affect, with hostile, stubborn, and sarcastic expressions predominating. Their combative and suspicious nature may elicit a hostile response in others, which then serves to confirm their original expectations.

Symptoms of Paranoid Personality Disorder

A pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others such that their motives are interpreted as malevolent, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by four (or more) of the following:

  • Suspects, without sufficient basis, that others are exploiting, harming, or deceiving him or her
  • Is preoccupied with unjustified doubts about the loyalty or trustworthiness of friends or associates
  • Is reluctant to confide in others because of unwarranted fear that the information will be used maliciously against him or her
  • Reads hidden demeaning or threatening meanings into benign remarks or events
  • Persistently bears grudges, i.e., is unforgiving of insults, injuries, or slights
  • Perceives attacks on his or her character or reputation that are not apparent to others and is quick to react angrily or to counterattack
  • Has recurrent suspicions, without justification, regarding fidelity of spouse or sexual partner

I was speaking to you and your fellow paranoiacs. Wasn't that apparent?

Are you going to attack my family again, now?

My mistake. I thought it was a wikipedia article. I stand corrected.

And yet, you have not shown which four symptoms fit any of us. You claim were are paranoiacs. And yet, when you post the psychological definition (which includes a list of symptoms) you cannot match that up to us.

Unless you can show four that fit us, you are proving my argument not yours.

I disagree.

Paranoia may accompany other symptoms, which vary depending on the underlying disease, disorder or condition.

Mental and emotional symptoms such as paranoia may be a sign of a complicated mental illness.

Paranoia may accompany other symptoms related to schizophrenia including:

  • Beliefs that are not grounded in reality (delusions)
  • Being a danger to yourself or others, including threatening, irrational behavior

Do you think any of the people on this forum who have been talking favorably about storing food and ammo fit those symptoms?

Persecutory paranoia - This is the most prevalent type of paranoia, and in this patient makes himself believe that all those around him are his enemies, bent on harming him or even taking his life.

In this delusion, people of an aggressive temperament often turn into dangerous killers.

Do you believe those of us who have stored items for a crisis are suffering from Persecutory paranoia? Or are you just posting random medical bits?

Personality disorders are diagnosed based on psychological evaluation and the history and severity of the symptoms.

People with paranoid personality disorder are highly suspicious of other people.

They are usually unable to acknowledge their own negative feelings towards other people.
