Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies are trying to find answers after a man was shot and killed in his own back yard Sunday.

Investigators tell WAAY 31 that 53 year old Michael Hart was shot around 4pm in a field behind his home off County Road 11 in the Aspel community near Paint Rock.

"He was unarmed. He was putting some grain into an automatic feeder and maybe changing his card out in his game camera and when he didn't come back in time his wife went to check on him and actually found him" said Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips.

A shooting at a White Center bakery that took the life of a man in his 20s early Wednesday morning was not the result of a robbery as first reported, but stemmed from a dispute that occurred earlier in the week, the King County Sheriff's Office said.

An employee of the Seattle Roll Bakery had a dispute with the victim earlier in the week, said Sgt. Cindi West with the Sherrif's office.

Just after midnight Wednesday morning, the employee, the victim and several other people were at the bakery when a gunman, who was known to both the victim and the employee, went to the bakery and confronted the victim about the earlier dispute, West said.

During the argument the gunman pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene...

did you even bother reading the article? or did you just search on google and paste your first link?

Chicago's longtime ban on handguns looked poised to be shot down after this week's ruling by the US Supreme Court. A new gun law proposed Thursday allows handgun ownership but requires multiple steps to obtain permits.

this is just to own a handgun in your home, not carry it in the streets. it also requires a handgun safety class with a gun range shooting qualification, but chicago has revised their ordnances to not allow any gun ranges within the city limits. so, there's no way to qualify for gun ownership without carrying your gun somewhere outside the city limits. something that most people within chicago cannot do because they don't own a vehicle.

so you got anything in rebuttal? thought not.

A man who barricaded himself in his Northbrook home following a domestic incident was found dead this evening of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Northbrook Dep. Chief Louis Caruso said police forcibly entered the home on the 2400 block of Partridge Lane at about 7 p.m. and found a man inside, yet to be indentified, dead of a gunshot wound.

Caruso said the incident began at about 2:22 p.m. a woman contacted Northbrook police about trouble with her husband at the home.

“She thought as she exited that she heard a gunshot,” Caruso said.

Police came to the house to find it barricaded.

Because of the report of a gun firing, police evacuated homes on Partridge Lane surrounding the residence.

“We made numerous attempts to make contact with the individual in the home in a variety of ways,” Caruso said. “They were all unsuccessful.”

With the assistance of other neighboring police departments and a Northern Illinois Police Alarm System (NIPAS) team on the scene, the decision was made to enter the home.

Police said there were no children in the home during the incident.

A Dallas police officer was arrested Christmas Day in Kentucky over accusations that she fired her weapon as she sat in the vehicle with the father of her child.

Zenae Humphries, 32, faces a charge of wanton endangerment, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. She has been released from Christian County jail on $5,000 bail.

According to a Hopkinsville, Kentucky, police report, Humphries was in a vehicle with the father of her child when she "produced a handgun and fired one round towards the ground near the victim."

The round hit the ground just in front of the rear tire, the report said.

Humphries received a 5-day suspension in July after internal investigators concluded that she had been engaged to marry a man who served federal prison time on gun and drug charges. Department rules prohibit officers from associating with convicted felons.

She joined the force in 2008.

I'm a cop, I can do whatever I want

Then he executes a man over a dart game.

An off-duty police officer has been charged with executing a man in a sports bar - after an argument over a game of darts.

Riverside County sheriff's deputy Dayle Long, 42, allegedly shot Samuel Vanettes, 36, three times, leaving him to die on the floor of the bar in Murrieta, California.

It is reported that Long, who had been drinking alone, struck up a conversation with Vanettes and his friends at Spelly’s Bar and Grille before the shooting.

An altercation allegedly broke out after the police officer told one of the friends 'I’m better at darts than you are', Chris Hull, 39, told Patch.com.

'My buddy says, "Aw, you suck at darts". (The man) says, "That’s why I’m a cop, I can do whatever I want to do".'

Hull tsaid his friend asked; 'Really, you can do anything?'

The police officer then pulled out his gun, Hull claimed and after the group repeatedly asked him to put it away he 'pops three rounds into my friend Sam'.

The ten-year department veteran appeared at the Southwest Justice Center in French Valley in a red prison uniform, on Friday charged with murder.

One has to wonder if this ten year veteran EVER had anything in his past to provide some indicator as to his instability.
