Most rednecks are gun buffs. They also know you don't point at anything you don't intend to shoot, and you don't put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Thousands of rednecks are hunters and they don't shoot each other or themselves.

A Natchez man was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the foot during what he suspected was a home invasion.

He was awakened by a loud noise, which he thought was an unknown person twisting the kitchen doorknob.

The victim got out of bed, retrieved a .357 Magnum, and cocked the sidearm.

He could still hear the noise, and being nervous, accidentally discharged the weapon, shooting himself in the right foot...

Once again, you can't fix stupid.

Do you live in a Utopian gun world or are you just another gun idiot?

Do you have an actual argument, or is ad hom posting all you know?

I've been shooting for 45 years. I couldn't begin to count the number of different firearms I have shot, and I have fired tens of thousands of rounds (at least). I have never, in all those years, had a gun go off unintentionally. Nor have I ever been around someone who did.

I have also been around firearms and firing ranges all my adult life. I've seen plenty of gun safety "incidents". You're either ignoring the truth or lying. In any event I stand by my premise that the freaking rednecks are responsible for most of what you see in firearm "accidents". They are just simple-minded and generally psychotic idiots.

Someone who is psychotic and simple-minded? I think "simple-minded" is also known as "stupid"? Which is what I said in my first post.

But yuo decided to argue. lol

A 12-year-old boy has been fatally shot in Chicago, about 24 hours after a 14-year-old boy also was killed by gunfire.

Authorities say 12-year-old Nazia Banks was playing with other children outside his home on Chicago's South Side on Saturday night.

Police say his father had just called him to come inside when someone walked up, pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The boy died at the scene.

On Friday night, police say 14-year-old Alejandro Jaime was shot in the back while he and a friend were riding their bikes.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says Jaime died at Mount Sinai Hospital.

A man has died of a self-inflicted gunshot would after a domestic disturbance, which led to a northwest Wichita neighborhood being locked down.

Police say it started when they received a call from a woman in the hospital just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

She told officers her children were alone with the man in the home in the 9700 block of West Bella Vista Street.

She said something had happened and she wanted officers to make sure her children were safe.

Officers entered the home and were talking to the children when they heard a shot come from a back room where they believe the man was standing.

The officers grabbed the children and ran outside the house with them.

The children were not hurt.

Police then blocked off the streets in the neighborhood surrounding the house.

They were asking nearby residents to stay inside their homes and advised residents who weren't home at the time of the incident to stay away.

The man was pronounced dead at around 11:00 p.m.

His name has not been released.

The man accused of shooting a police K9 is dead, after police say they were forced to return fire.

The dog’s injuries even made the vet who’s taking care of him emotional.

He has been through something most of us never will, but the Sacramento police dog named Bodie is doing amazingly well.

“We’re just really proud to see him improve like that,” said veterinarian Dr. Christopher Wong.
