Illegals cannot vote. However, the census does count them. Right now those scary people are working in packing houses and farms to keep you in food. They are working in hospitals so help keep you alive. They are working restaurants to provide meals. They are an important cog in the economic machinery.

I knew you were unable to understand what they do to help you because you are a one-trick pony. The reason we have illegals is that companies hire them. Illegals are mobile, tough to catch, and often not worth the trouble. The meatpackers are stationary. They could be checked easily. If we really wanted to end illegals working, it could be done. But our companies have made it clear to the politicians, they want them.
Again, this thread is about the census. To properly plan our services, we need to count every single person as the Constitution said.

There’s no “reason” to count them one way or another for either party. That’s the way the Constitution reads, like it or not.

The founders did not plan on a person as self centered and ego driven as Trump is. Like the emoluments clause, as an example Other presidents respected it and tried to do right. Trump blew right through it.
Most historians thought the power of the office would help keep a president in line. Not Trump. He saw all that power as a way to make money and become even more powerful. What president would send
troops into American cities to stir shit up? Trump thinks this will help his election chances. It may end up in serious riots. It is what goofy gun nuts always talked about. When the government comes into our cities, we will fight them. The city police should stand up to them. Trump's army is not qualified or trained to do police work or handle protests.
 
I am sure 99% of the public is not aware that illegals are counted same as citizens in determining how many electors and House members a state gets. If they do find out they will agree it is crazy.

We don't have to catch the illegals you idiot. Just enforce federal law and take away the welfare checks and free k-12 and free health care and start jailing companies that hire illegals. Then the illegals will self-deport. This is a very easy problem to solve but trump won't do it.

This has everything to do with reapportionment of House seats. Overall, the Republicans would gain somewhere around 10 to 15 seats because of the illegals not being counted nationwide. It would also hurt blue states more in terms of government social-welfare benefits and the like. This is why Trump is proposing it and Democrats are railing against it.
