BIG!!! Trump Expected to EXCLUDE illegal aliens From U.S. Census

Constitution says count the whole number of persons in each state. In the 1970s the Repubs tried to change it to citizens and it did not pass. They were shooting for an abridged count by 2020.

the census is used to determine federal disbursements to the states and representation.........there is no rational basis to provide funds or representation to people who are here illegally.....this is not something that should need explaining to anyone.......

My ancestors came here legally in the 1930s, but they wouldn't have met today's qualifications. Maybe you should think about that for a bit.

States say we need to count illegals in the census so the states can get more federal money to pay for all the services illegals get. !!!!

It is a federal felony to provide services to illegals. Section 1324 of title 8 of the US code.

If true this is really important. Right now the number of members a state has in the House of Representatives is based on it's resident population whether legal or illegal. That's crazy but that's how it is and it needs to change. Illegals should not count.

I never understood why illegals would be counted in the first place. There is no sane, logical reason to count illegals. ;)

Why is that a good thing? Shouldn't we keep a track of those illegals?

The census doesn't contain address information dumbass. It tracks NO one. You can lie your ass off on the form and no one would know the difference. :palm:

The article seems to be saying that they will still be counted by the Census but they won't figure into official numbers for population in each state.

Currently, the Census has no citizenship question on it, so I'm not exactly sure how they can go about separating who is a citizen vs. who isn't, however.

BINGO!!!!

You might want to actually read the US Constitution.
Art I

You might wish to read it yourself; obviously you don't know what it says.

Article 1, Section 2 of the United States Constitution:

The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.

No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen. Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.

Section 2.
Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,* and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

Nope, it shouldn’t. But you stupid fucks can’t seem to understand a few simple words in the Constitution. Even when it’s spelled out for you.

There's a good reason to do this for the Republicans. It takes between 3 and 5 seats in the House away from California and would reapportion them to states that tend Republican. That's a major shift. It would also be a huge slap down for the Democrats to have that happen.
