It's an ancient draconian law from 1910 and he probably will plead to something less than a felony. He's not going to get 10 years.

True dat, but a law nonetheless. Whatareya going to do? Obey the law and not worry or not obey and wonder when the men in pretty suits with nice shiney badges come for you. As the theme song to Baretta once said, Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Don't do it.

I always thought that was a stupid saying. An excuse for apathy at outrageous laws and sentences.
