Yes it is a very poor country, and yes I did treat the women well. The local guys get a lot of pussy too. They're not a prude culture. The people of Cuba are very interested in America, the stories, the people, the cities, and they are interested in having sex without some preprogrammed taboo associated with it. Insinuating that being nice to a woman you're having sex with somehow makes the woman a prostitute is misguided at best. I still fail to see what that has to do with bringing back Batista and bestiality.

When I was there, the dollar was the currency of the country, but now that Bushtard decided to punish the Cuban people with tougher sanctions, the Castro's have once again banned it. Trade your cash into Euros before you go. You money will take you a long, long way. And rent a room from a house in the suburbs rather than a hotel room. You'll be glad you did.

You don't have to like the comment but what was racist about it? I said Freaknik because I believe you said you lived in Atlanta. I had half a dozen friends from high school who went to Morehouse that raved about the Freaknik when they would come home. If you lived in another part of the country I would mention something local from there (if I knew it).

Well I find it very interesting, first that you assume that American girls are prudish and not having sex. Statistics just don’t bear that out. They are sexually active. Is this about having sex, or having what I thought was implied, which was some sort of kinkier sex? I just think that when you have a case of extreme poverty, and then you throw an American man into the mix who is throwing around money, you do incite some troubling questions. This is further complicated that you have posted here that American girls are throwing it at you and you have been too thick to understand that until afterwards. This leads me to wonder, just how desperate were these girls that even you figured out they were offering sex?

Anyway, these are definitely legitimate lines of thought that would arise upon hearing this story. If you go back and read it, I got out of it not that Cuban girls aren’t prudes, but that if you go there dozens will be clawing their way into your bed and giving it to you anyway you can imagine. That’s a bit troublesome of an idea to me.

I had more game back then, I knew what I was doing with women.

You see, its been 4 years since I was on so much as a date, and then when I did go, a massive stye eye appeared that morning. My zits have more game than I do.

And also, an interesting note is that the Cuban women like Americans, Germans and Spanish men, but detest Canadians, Italians, and Armenians. I heard a couple of Canadian dudes complaining about it in Varadaro, and many of the guys I made friends with over there said the same thing. The women reiterated it as well.

So, in a nutshell, I'm nice to everybody, even women I'm having sex with.

The truth of the matter is that the people in some parts of the world are more open to sex, and carefree no strings attached. WHen I was stationed in Europe in 90-91. British women where notorious for being very sexually adventurous while on holiday. MTV Europe did a poll and found that british women were the most likely to have a one night stand on holiday and British men were the least likely. And though it was not true across the board I found that British women WERE indeed very sexually adventurous. It was not because you offered to buy them drinks or food or anything else. It is quite possible that for Cuban women the same can be true. And because people go places where it is reportedly easier to have a chance sexual encounter does not make them predatory. Sex is not ALWAYS about power. Sometimes its just about getting your cookies.

I have a couple of Cuban friends here in Atlanta. They absolutely violently despise any notion of Cuba being a hotbed pussy playground for foreigners.

They've seen way too much of the degradation of their women and girls.

My comment was a reaction to listening to them and the stories they've told.

You're right, what you said did not imply you wanted Batista back .. but I think you should still be cognizant that quests for Cuban women still does not sit well with many people BECAUSE of the history there.

I have to think about this. But right now, I'd have to say that the extreme differences in socio-economic status, coupled with your presentation of Cuban women as dying and clawing for dick, is troublesome.

Not too many women have higher sex drives than I do, and I don't care what country they live in.

I think this story, as presented, is troublesome. I think it reeks of explotation.
 
Come on Darla, lots of women raised by upper middle class american white families go out with and sleep with men because of the hope that they can land the Doctor or Lawyer or Engineer. You read far more into this than is necessary. And if you go to Cancun during spring break you will see lots of young women clawing for dick. Sometimes people just like to fuck. They like it to be no strings attached, leave after you clean up, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here sort of sex. EVEN in poor countries.
 
With the recognition that I'm a bit of an oddball here :) ...

What I hoped for in this thread was a discussion about the dynamics of Cuba being freed of oppressive non-sensical economic sanctions .. which I hoped would lead to discussions of the philosophical differences in Cuban and American politic.

Then I could segue into why I believe Cuba will be the most perfect example of the mix of socialist and democratic ideas.

Unfortunately pussy got in the way.

I do understand.
