A lot of the women "clawing for dick" in Cancun are Americans .. if one accepts "clawing for dick."

We all expressed agreement to ending sanctions. How much of "Yeah, what a good idea!" do you want to read? It makes for boring threads and boring conversation. Threads here progress like conversations. This one went in a different direction than you expected, but then you took it a bit further than anybody.

You were the jerk who jumped to "Donkey Shows" in his head at the mention of Cubans and openness, not me. That is disgusting and so not what I said. As I said, seeking the worst that you want to believe is in others. I think it is hiding the demon within.

I actually respect you less the more you try to defend this disgusting depiction that you assumed of me.

I'd personally pick a place that people aren't willing to drive to the ocean then tie the car doors together and set themselves and their kids into open ocean with only shirts as paddles to leave. There is absolutely no way that that is all due to US sanctions, especially since they are considerably easy to get around....

Your posts of how danged poor and desperate these people are should set you to rethinking how fabulous the place is. You assume that they are willing to forgo any morality to do whatever some guy with money wants them to, but in the next breath want to give it up as the best example of good things happening?

Cuba is not currently the example of socialism and democracy that I hold as the example, but it could very well be. When Cuba is opened up again to the world, it very well could be.

Nor is Cuba the desperate nation you appear to believe it is. People strap themselves to boats looking for OZ and a better life .. lives that would have been better without US sanctions.

Batista ruled with a stronger hand than Castro, yet the Cuban people overthrew him. If Castro wasn't supported by the vast majority of Cuban people they would have overthrown his ass too.

Cuba without the embargo has a great deal to offer .. more than just pussy.

I agree that Cuba does have a lot to offer, and if you want to get some of it you can, even with these oh-so-effective embargoes going on. I think it would change the face of Cuba and very quickly in a positive direction where people get to earn and keep what they earn...

Any country "could be". As for why you select Cuba as this possible beacon over a country like say, Sweden, is beyond me. Cuba is a failed government, and a faild experiment on the part of our embargo as well. Our embargo has harmed them, their policies have harmed them as well.

Agreed. They do want to have economic freedom. I have a couple of personal anecdotes I can tell you about where someone made a little extra money, got caught, was shown to be "unequal" and lost everything as a result. Socialism generally has to be implemented under and iron fist, and I talked to many first hand that have experienced that.

Good to know we're both having fun.

Without the embargos Cuba would be booming .. but even with the sanctions in place all these years, Cuba has made tremendous gains in medicine, education, and the overall health and well-being of its citizens. Cubans are far better off than under Batista.

Donkey shows didn't come from my mind, I've never seen one .. the trem comes from Cuban history and there are a great many people sensitive to any thought of the explotation of Cuban women .. but you're not getting that and I don't expect you to.

Sex tourism is a nasty and filthy practice in my opinion because not only do women get abused, so do children.

Cuba, freed of sanctions will be good to and for its people.
