San Jose mom killed in weekend shooting






Ross was shot to death Saturday about 10:35 p.m. while driving home in South San Jose.




Ross was driving home when shots were fired into her car from a passing vehicle.


Family members described Ross as a devoted mother to her five boys, ages 5 to 17, who worked hard.




Police were alerted at 10:37 p.m. and arriving paramedics performed CPR, but Ross was pronounced dead at the scene, Garcia said.




A passenger in her car, another relative, also was shot.

The shooting death of a 16-year-old boy Sunday afternoon appears to have been accidental, Kansas City Police said today.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, Marlin J. Garrett, a student at Center High School, was accidentally shot by a 14-year-old friend.

A family trip to a north Houston car repair shop ended in tragedy Friday afternoon when a child found a gun.



The little boy and his younger sister were accompanying their mother at a repair shop Irvington Boulevard near Tidwell -- until a gunshot rang out.





Around 2:30pm Friday, a single gunshot rang out from the office inside a car repair shop, a gunshot that killed a 10-year-old little boy while his younger sister watched.

one should wonder why there isn't a statewide manhunt for the suspect. maybe because he didn't shoot a cop?

A toddler who was holding his mother's hand as she was gunned down in The Bronx last night continues to call for the dead woman, the family said today.


"The 2-year-old keeps asking for his mom - it's just heartbreaking," said Juba Lassiter, the child's father.


The boy and his mother, Claudia Millan, 29, had walked to a store in the East Tremont section and were returning home when Millan fell to the ground with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Denver police say a man was shot dead during a dispute at Williams Park Sunday night.






The victim was standing at East 30th Avenue and Lafayette Street at Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Park when a black sport utility vehicle drove up just before 9 p.m., said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.

Police are investigating five separate shootings that injured at least six people in Minneapolis Sunday night.

this is nearly impossible. gun control laws in NYC are intended to prevent guns from falling in to the hands of criminals. this is blatant journalistic sensationalism.
 
A Palmdale woman has been arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting her former boyfriend, authorities said Monday.


Diane Asbury, 48, was booked shortly after she reported the shooting about 6 p.m. Sunday at her residence in the 38800 block of Calistoga Street, authorities said.


When Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found Asbury standing outside the house and later found the victim in an upstairs room, authorities said.


The 51-year-old man, whose identity has not been made public, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say a 23-year-old man was shot in the head early Monday at a Skagit County campground.


Skagit County sheriff's deputies say they were called around 1 a.m. when a man with a gunshot wound arrived at a hospital in Darrington. They believe he was shot at a nearby campground and then driven to the hospital for treatment.


The man has been airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he is listed in serious condition.


Deputies are still trying to figure out what exactly happened, but they say the shooting does not appear to be accidental.

A husband and wife found shot to death Friday evening in Enumclaw have been identified as Zachary and Amy Erwin, both 42.

.
A handgun was found in the residence and police are treating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide.


Amy Erwin worked as a teacher at Victor Hills Elementary School in the Sumner School District.


The couple had children, but the kids were not home during the shootings.
