I'm not a sociologist per se,
but I would not be the least bit surprised
that those who are told that their lives don't matter
might be inclined to respond in a less than peaceful manner.
We went through a stretch in the past few years
where unarmed black people were target practice for racist cops.
There is no denying this. It's simple fact.
Black people said that their lives mattered.
Right wing conservatives replied, whether in so many words or not, that they don't.
They said that it was blue lives that mattered.
Violence ensued.
I'm actually OK with it.
Even when it clearly may not be right,
it's more than understandable.
